Nantes Atlantique is the largest airport in western France, and is a human-sized, fluid and pleasant airport. From Nantes, you can fly direct to over 100 destinations. Some of the most popular destinations include: Barcelona, London, Rome, Venice, Geneva, Lisbon, Santorini, Reykjavik, Dubrovnik, as well as a dozen African cities, Montreal and Istanbul. Please note, however, that some routes are not open all year round. Nantes Atlantique is pretty easy to get to: just twenty minutes from the city center by bus - via a dedicated Tan shuttle - from Place du Commerce or the train station (departures every 40 minutes, 7 days a week). It doesn't take much longer by car, but beware of traffic jams. Managed by Vinci, the airport has several parking lots, with rates to suit the length of your stay. Montpellier Méditerranée Airport is located 8 kilometres from the city centre, a 10-minute drive. The historic centre is easily accessible from the airport thanks to a shuttle, taxi and car rental service. The airport is equipped with duty free, priority lane access, free wifi and many other services. In 2019, the airport opened a new hall and a new destination: Russia.

It is the second busiest airport in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Poitiers-Biard airport is located 2.5 km from the city center, along the west ring road, halfway between the Poitiers-Nord and Poitiers-Sud freeway exits. Regular flights to London (Stansted) are operated by Ryanair. Seasonal flights are also available until the end of October: from March to Barcelona and from June to Edinburgh. Located about 25 km from the city centre and connected to Lyon via the expressway (very efficient bus service), soon by the new Rhonexpress tram line, Saint-Exupéry airport is equipped with two terminals with a capacity of 8 million passengers per year, with restaurants, shops, bars, airline counters and travel agencies, bureaux de change and car rental companies. Its bouquet of 35 airlines provides a total of around 100 regular flights to a large number of French and foreign cities, from Reunion Island to New York.

He welcomed the last flights of the Concorde - whose flights were arrested after the 2000 disaster - and specializes in charter flights, freight, decommissioning, aircraft maintenance and training flights. The buildings of the old aeronautics plant are listed in the Historical Monuments Inventory as a rare testimony to the industrial heritage.

The airport in Angers-Marcé is a human-sized one, but there is no doubt about its legitimacy. Political caprice in its time, it has for years been a financial public chasm. Inaugurated in June 2010, Brive Vallée de la Dordogne airport is one of the newest airports in France. It was built to open up the north of the Lot, the Périgord and the Corrèze. This regional airport serves Paris, London and Porto with regular flights. It is also an open door to foreign countries, connected to the world thanks to the numerous "holiday" destinations offered with a connection via Orly and Lyon with very attractive prices.

This airport is located 3 km northwest of Figari, 24 km from Bonifacio and 25 km from Porto-Vecchio. A shuttle service exists in the summer period between Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio which makes five rotations a day. You also have the solution of the taxi to reach your destination. There's no question of doing a Colmar-New York from this small regional airport, but it does cater for business travellers, freight transport and the leisure aviation school. The Aéroclub de Colmar offers training for the private pilot's license, and AUL Formation offers multi-axis Class 3 microlight pilot training.

Quimper Cornouaille airport offers many destinations with connecting flights, operated by the company Chalair (Air France), such as Marseille, Nice, Lyon, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Montpellier... It is a small and very accessible airport that is perfect for families and professionals alike. Its offer complements that of Brest airport, which is more international. Nîmes-Grande Provence Méditerranée airport offers scheduled flights to London, Brussels, Fez and Marrakech, Dublin and Edinburgh, served by Ryanair. It is located close to the A54 freeway and 15 minutes from Nîmes by shuttle bus. The "arrivals" area is home to all the car rental companies, whose car parks are located directly opposite the building. In the heart of the Plateau de Millevaches, in Haute Corrèze, stands Peyrelevade, the Pierre Levée. Located 6 km from the city centre of Amiens, Amiens-Glisy airport is an aerodrome mainly intended for private aviation. There are therefore no commercial flights and no way to get to Amiens by plane. Only Air'Flash taxis allow you to go to other cities with airfields, for a rather large sum of money! Amiens-Glisy airport also hosts two aeroclubs, the one in Picardie and the one in Amiens-Glisy, perfect if you want to learn to fly and visit the birds.

To get to Marseille-Provence, you can either take the LER train, which stops at the Vitrolles-Aéroport-Marseille-Provence station, then take a free shuttle, or the 5 bus lines of the Marseille-Aix-en-provence metropolitan area: cartreize. If you choose this option, you have two express lines from Marseille-Saint-Charles and Aix-en-Provence. For Moscow, there's a direct service to Sheremetievo with Aeroflot, as well as stopover options with Lufthansa.

The airport can be reached quickly from downtown Lyon via the "Rhônexpress" rail link: departure from Lyon-Part-Dieu station, 30 min journey. You can also reach the airport by TGV from Lyon-Saint-Exupéry TGV station. If you're coming by car, book your parking online to make the best choice and save money. Last but not least, a number of coaches connect the airport with the surrounding towns and cities. From Lyon, more than 200 destinations worldwide, particularly in France and Europe, are served.

Bordeaux-Mérignac airport can be reached by bus from the Saint-Jean railway station: line 1 takes you there in 45 minutes, the "Navette 30' direct" express line in 30 minutes (hence its name). In the event of bus problems, we recommend you take a cab or equivalent, as car traffic is fairly fluid.

This airport offers over 70 destinations in Europe and beyond. Scheduled flights include Madrid, Rome, Malta, Vienna, Budapest and Tangiers. As for seasonal flights, you can take off for an extended weekend in Ajaccio or Palma de Mallorca. Nevertheless, the services offered remain "low-cost", and the fluidity of checks and access to terminals are often criticized by travellers. Located fifteen kilometres south of Paris, Orly Airport offers access to several international destinations. It's a great alternative for travellers from all over the world. As far as transfers are concerned, you'll need to allow around forty minutes to reach Paris (via RER B or C trains or shuttle buses). Once you've reached the capital, you can take the train from Gare de Lyon or Gare de Bercy. Alternatively, if you prefer to drive, the A6 motorway is nearby, as is the A5 (to Sens).

To get to Montpellier-Méditerranée airport, take the train to the station, then a shuttle bus (approx. 15 min) from the "Place de l'Europe" stop, which is linked to the city center by streetcar lines 1 and 4. There are no direct flights to Moscow, but some international airlines can take you to the Russian capital with a stopover. For a direct flight, it's best to take the train from another airport in the South of France.

Located less than 30 minutes' drive from the Tarn département, Toulouse-Blagnac airport offers access to several international and national destinations in just a few hours. The Toulouse-Matabiau train station is easily accessible from the Tarn rail network. From the station, the Toulouse metro or airport shuttle will take you to Toulouse-Blagnac airport in tens of minutes. The airport is modern and on a human scale.

Located 23 km northeast of Paris, Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport was the^2nd busiest in Europe and ^10th busiest in the world in terms of passenger traffic (72.2 million in 2018). CDG airport has three terminals: Terminals 1 and 2 cater for international airlines, while Terminal 3 is dedicated to charter flights. Eventually, a gigantic new terminal, T4, should enable the whole complex to pass the 100 million passenger mark.

Paris's largest airport, inaugurated in 1974, has three terminals, which are divided into several smaller ones. The airport is so large that it can be reached by an automatic metro. It is well served by several freeways and has a TGV station, which provides direct access to virtually all French cities. Buses and RER are the most popular means of getting to Paris, while metro line 17 will reach the airport by 2030.

Nantes airport is the largest in Brittany. It is the one that offers the most access possibilities from the international level. Located a few kilometers from the center, south of the Loire River, it is quickly accessible with the airport shuttle (stops at the south train station, at the Lieu Unique - Cité des Congrès and Place du Commerce). Smart kids can take the tramway and then line 38 or 98. Upon taking off, don't miss the majesty of the estuary and the immensity of the Grandieu Lake.
