On arrival in Accra, you will be met at Kotoka International Airport before being transferred to your hotel. Settle in and enjoy the rest of the day to relax after your journey.

Accra - Tamale - Mole National Park

Highlights of the day:
- Visit to the historic Larabanga mosque
- 3-hour game drive in Mole National Park
After breakfast, transfer from your hotel in Accra at 11:15 am to the domestic airport (Terminal 2) to board your flight to Tamale, scheduled for 12:20 pm and arriving at 1:40 pm. On arrival, your driver will greet you with a sign bearing your name.
Depart by private transfer to the Mole Motel (approx. 2h30 to 3h drive). En route, stop in Larabanga for a 20-minute tour of its historic mosque, one of the oldest in West Africa, famous for its unique Sudanese architecture. After another 15-minute drive, you enter Mole National Park.
On arrival, check in to your hotel and free time to relax. At around 6:40 pm, your driver will take you to the park office for a 3-hour game drive, during which you'll have the opportunity to observe elephants, antelopes and numerous bird species.

Mole National Park - Mognori Eco Village - Mole National Park

Start your day early with a 2-hour walking safari in Mole National Park, starting at 6.40 a.m., for an up-close immersion in the park's flora and fauna. After this adventure, enjoy an invigorating breakfast before departing at 11:00 for Mognori Eco Village.
On arrival, embark on a 45-minute pirogue safari on the Mole River, a unique experience offering a new perspective on the park's ecosystem. Continue with a 45-minute cultural walk through Mognori Eco Village, where you'll discover the traditions and way of life of the local people.
Return to your lodge for a moment of relaxation before being picked up at 3.10 pm by your driver for a 3-hour game drive, where you'll see even more wildlife in their natural habitat.

Meeting the Hippos of the Wechiau Sanctuary

After an early wake-up call and breakfast at your lodge, set off on an unforgettable excursion to the Wechiau Community Hippo Sanctuary, a unique conservation project. Located around 3 hours' drive from Mole National Park, this sanctuary protects a 40 km stretch of the Black Volta River, home to one of Ghana's last remaining hippo populations.
On arrival, embark on a 2-hour canoe safari on the Black Volta River. From your boat, admire these impressive mammals in their natural habitat, while enjoying a magnificent view of the lush vegetation and aquatic birds that inhabit the area. This conservation project, initiated in 1999 by local chiefs, plays an essential role in the preservation of wildlife and the environment, while actively involving local communities.
After this immersion in the heart of nature, take the road back to Mole National Park, a journey of around 3 hours. In the evening, relax and relive the highlights of this unique day.

After a final wake-up call at the Mole Motel, enjoy breakfast before setting off for Tamale (approx. 2-hour drive). On arrival, check in for your domestic flight to Accra.
On arrival at Kotoka International Airport, you will be met and transferred to the international departures terminal. Take time to finalize immigration and customs formalities before boarding your return flight, marking the end of your unforgettable adventure through Ghana.
