Detail of the stay : Trek du Gurja Himal - 11 days

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

On arrival in Kathmandu, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Take time to relax and acclimatize to the vibrant atmosphere of Nepal's capital.

Day 2: Kathmandu- Beni by local bus

Depart Kathmandu early in the morning and embark on a scenic bus journey to Beni, a bustling town in Nepal's Myagdi district. Enjoy picturesque views of the countryside as you travel to your next destination.

Day 3: Béni-Darbang. 2.5-hour hike to Dharapani at an altitude of 1565 m

Start your trek in Darbang, a charming village set amidst green hills and terraced fields. Trek for around 2.5 hours to reach Dharapani, a tranquil village nestled at 1,565 meters above sea level. Enjoy the serene surroundings and immerse yourself in the local culture.

Day 4: 8-hour trek to Gurja Khani via the Gurja pass (3255m)

Today's hike is more challenging as you ascend to Gurja Khani through the rugged terrain of the Gurja Pass, situated at an altitude of 3,255 meters. The journey takes around 8 hours, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan landscapes.

Day 5: Excursion to the base of Gurja Himal, about 5-6 hours' walk.

Spend the day exploring the base of Gurja Himal, a majestic peak dominating the landscape. Trek for around 5-6 hours to reach the base, where you can marvel at the beauty of the mountains and enjoy a peaceful moment in nature.

Day 6: Trek to Gurja Ghat / Dhorpatan, which takes about 8 to 9 hours over the Rugachaur pass

Continue your hike to Gurja Ghat or Dhorpatan, passing over the Rugachaur pass en route. The hike takes around 8-9 hours and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and forests. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the remote wilderness.

Day 7: An optional excursion to the Tibetan monastery of Bonpo, where you can rest for the day

Today you have the opportunity to visit the Bonpo Tibetan Monastery, where you can discover the region's rich cultural heritage and learn more about Tibetan Buddhism. Alternatively, you can choose to rest and recharge for the rest of the day, soaking up the peaceful ambience of your surroundings.

Day 8: Approx. 5-6 hours' trek to Lumsung via the Jaljalla pass (3400m)

Embark on a scenic hike to Lumsung, via the Jaljalla pass at 3,400 meters above sea level. The hike takes around 5-6 hours and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Enjoy the tranquility of the secluded wilderness as you hike to your next destination.

Day 9: About 6 hours' walk to Darbang

Descend from Lumsung to Darbang, trekking for around 6 hours through lush forests and picturesque landscapes. Arrive in Darbang and relax after a rewarding day's trekking, reflecting on the experiences of your trip.

Day 10: Return to Pokhara.

Say goodbye to the remote wilderness as you return to Pokhara. Enjoy the scenic drive through the countryside and arrive in Pokhara, where you can relax after your trekking adventure.

Day 11: Pokhara-Kathmandu

Finish your trip with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
