Detail of the stay : 11-day trek from Kathmandu to Khopra Ridge and Lake Khayer - 11 days

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in the tourist center of Kathmandu - Thamel.

Your guide will later explain what to expect on your trek to Khopra Ridge Khayer Lake.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (892 m/ 2926 ft)

today we start with a 6-7 hour road trip through the Pokhara valley and its beautiful Phewa Tal (lake), then check into your hotel near the lake.

There's plenty to see and do along Lakeside, with its many stores, bars and restaurants to choose from. Sitting and watching the sunset over the lake is a calm and tranquil way to end the day.

Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Ghandruk (1940 M) 6,365 feet and Trek to Tadapani (2,300 m) (5-6 hours)

Today we drive from Pokhara to the village of Ghandruk and, after a lunch break, begin our hike to Tadapani.

We continue on a trail through oak and rhododendron forests and, along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of Machapuchare (Fishtail), Annapurna South, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV and Lamjung Himal.

Day 4: Trek to Bayeli Kharka (3450 m) (5-6 hours)

You'll need to get up early to enjoy the magnificent sunrise in the ever-changing morning light.

We then pick up the trail through a rhododendron forest before arriving at Bayeli Kharka. There are also excellent views of the Annapurna ranges along this section of the trail. From Bayeli, you have a view of Mount Dhaulagiri (the 7th highest peak in the world).

Day 5: Trek to Khopra Danda / Ridge (3,660 m) 5-6 hours.

The first stage of our trek takes us downhill to the village of Chhsitibang and on to Khopra Ridge.

On the trail, we're likely to see pheasants (Nepal's national bird), yaks grazing in the alpine meadows and Himalayan Tahr. From the ridge, you'll have breathtaking views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, South, Tukuche Peak, Dhampus Peak, Mt. Nilgiri and other massive snow-capped mountains.

Day 6: Day trip to Khayar Lake - Khopra Danda (7-8 hours)

Today we follow the trail to Khayer Lake (4,600 m/15,092 ft). The crystal-clear views of the lake are particularly attractive high up in the mountains. We then return to Khopra Ridge for the night.

Today will be easy as we head to Swanta, famous for having its own cheese factory which you can visit and sample some of its cheeses, including yak cheeses. We'll be staying here tonight.

Today we head for Ghorepani, renowned for its mountain views, especially during the changing light at sunrise and sunset.

Initially, we hike to the village of Chitre, then take the larger trail up to Ghorepani, from where we can see Mt. Dhaulagiri, Machapuchare (fish tail), Annapurna South, I and other magnificent snow-capped peaks.

Before sunset, you can choose to take a short hike to Poon Hill, famous for its superb sunsets. Tonight we'll be staying at a lodge in Ghorepani.

Day 9: Trek to Poon Hill (3,210 m) - Trek to Nayapul - Drive to Pokhara (8.50 m) (7-8 hours)

Poon Hill has a well-deserved reputation for offering some of Nepal's finest sunrise views of the neighboring Himalayas.

Views of the Annapurna ranges include Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Annapurna I (8,091 m), Annapurna II (7,937 m), Annapurna III (7,855 m), Annapurna IV (7,525 m), Annapurna Sud (7,219 m), Nilgiri (6,940 m), Tukuche (6,920 m). varaha Shikhar (7847m) and Lamjung Himal (6931m).

After a frantic photo session, we return to Ghorepani for breakfast. We then head for Nayapul and on to Pokhara.

Day 10: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1310 m/ 4297 ft) (6-7 hours)

Today we return to Kathmandu, either by bus or private vehicle depending on the size of our group.

On arrival in Kathmandu, you will be taken to your hotels close to the tourist center of Thamel.

You can choose to wander around Thamel and do some last-minute shopping, or perhaps spend some time in one of the many wonderful cafés. This evening, we'll arrange a farewell dinner at a local Nepalese restaurant where you can bid farewell to your guide and fellow trekkers.

Day 11: Final Departure

This is your last day in Nepal, and a representative will drop you at the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. On your journey home, you can reflect on your time in Nepal and possibly plan your next adventure to the Himalayan Mountains.
