Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to the land of the Himalayas and the birthplace of the Buddha. You will receive a warm welcome from our representative at Tribhuwan International Airport, who will escort you to your hotel in Thamel. After check-in, you can relax at the hotel. In the afternoon, you can visit Thamel's colorful streets to stretch your legs. In the evening, you'll be informed of your program for the days ahead.

Day 2: Road to Pokhara (850m)

Today you'll drive or fly (depending on the package purchased) to Pokhara, Nepal's most beautiful city, situated on the shores of serene Lake Fewa. It will take you around 6 to 8 hours to reach Pokhara. You'll pass through the beautiful mid-hills, where you can admire bustling villages and towns, lush forests and the Trishuli and Marshyangdi rivers sparkling along the way. Although the 6-8 hour drive may seem tiring, you're sure to enjoy your journey as you're rewarded with unique cultural and natural experiences.

Today is an exciting day for you, as you'll get a taste of the journey with our bike ride around Pokhara. Our expert guide will assess your cycling skills and explore your mountain biking styles and preferences as he guides you along the shores of Lake Fewa to the peaceful Stupa and the unique Queen's Forest trail. As well as cycling, this is also an opportunity to have a quick inspection of your bike for the adventure ahead.

Day 4: Depart Pokhara for Besisahar (750 m) and drive to Syange (1100 m).

Today is the day you've been waiting for to start your dream adventure. You'll drive to Besisahar, which should take around 4 hours. You'll pass through cinematic landscapes and picturesque villages along the way. On arrival in Besisahar, we'll have some refreshments, quickly check the bikes and begin our adventure to Syange where we'll spend the night, passing through Ngadi, Bhulbhule and Rambazaar.

Day 5: From Syange to Dharapani (1860 m)

Steps: Pokhara

Departure for another challenging day from Syange to Dharapani. Today's hike is quite demanding as you'll have to go through some intense climbs. However, you'll be rewarded with incredible views of towering mountains, lush forests, meandering river, waterfalls and beautiful villages. You'll also have the chance to chat with the charming locals along the way. Today's overnight stay is in Dharapani, a beautiful village at the confluence of the Trishuli and Dudh Khola rivers.

Day 6: Journey from Dharapani to Chame (2670m)

The day begins with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. You'll cross varied landscapes, mule and donkey trails, the Danakyu orchard and enjoy magnificent views of Manaslu from Timang. Although the climb from Danakyu to Timang is intense, you'll be rewarded with incredible scenery, waterfalls, rhodendron forests and views of Manaslu. We'll stop in Timang for a cup of tea or cold drink, and then resume our journey through magnificent forest, passing through Thanchouk and the village of Koto. You'll spend the night in a tea house in Chame. Also known as the district headquarters of Manang, Chame is a beautiful village offering a wide range of services from Internet to all household and trekking essentials.

Day 7: Hike from Chame to Pisang (3300m)

Today you'll cycle through the pine forest for incredible views of the Annapurna mountain range. On the way, we'll see one of the largest apple orchards in the Manang region in Bharatang where we'll take time to sample fresh Himalayan apple juice with apple pies, crumbles and even apple fritters. After devouring our refreshments, we'll continue our drive to Dhikur Pokhara, one of the most beautiful lunch spots with views of Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Gangapurna and Tilicho Peak. After lunch, we begin our adventure into the open valley, crossing the Marshyangdi River on a wooden bridge and climbing to Upper Pisang for the night. Upper Pisang is an ancient village offering incredible views of the Annapurna mountain range and the Chulu and Tilicho peaks.

Day 8: From Pisang to Manang (3540m) via Ghyaru (3730m)

Today is another exciting day of our adventure. We'll pass through the magnificent Pisang single track and push the bike through the intense climbs of Ghyaru and Nawal to open up more views of the Himalayas and the beautiful Humde valley. Along the way, we may encounter blue sheep and Himalayan yaks. We'll have a delicious lunch at Nawal with incredible views of the Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna, Tilicho, Chulu and Pisang peaks. After lunch, we descend to Munji and head for our final destination of the day, Manang. Manang is a lively Tibetan village offering incomparable views of the mountains, river and lake of the Gangapurna glacier. You'll spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Manang, offering delicious meals, wi-fi and above all the unrivalled beauty of the area.

Day 9: Acclimatization and rest day in Manang

Acclimatization and rest day in Manang

Today we'll stop our day's cycling to relax our muscles and let our bodies prepare for acclimatization. However, we'll take a short walk up to around 4,000 metres at the Chongkor viewpoint in Manang to better prepare ourselves for the altitude. On the way back to the hotel, we'll take time to visit Glacier Lake and enjoy a freshly brewed Himalayan coffee by the lake. After returning, the day is yours. You can do what you like, either visit a chic café or go shopping.

Day 10: Bike ride from Manang to Yak Kharka (4200m)

From today, the real challenge begins! We'll leave the lower altitudes behind us and start climbing to over 4,000 metres above sea level to Yak Kharka. It's essential to follow a leisurely pace and enjoy the glory of the Himalayas while watching the yaks and blue sheep graze freely. Or even, if we're lucky, the snow leopard. Today's route will be comparatively shorter. However, it will be good enough to tire you deeply. You'll spend the night in Yak Kharka in a comfortable, picturesque teahouse.

Day 11: Bike ride from Yak Kharka to Phedi (4550 m)

Today is another day of your thrilling adventure. We'll indulge in challenges and obstacles while enjoying the impressive views of the Himalayas. Over a short distance of around 7 km, we'll have the chance to spot yaks, blue sheep, vultures and other wildlife. The unique trails and rocky terrain will reveal the challenges ahead. However, the incredible views that surround us make it all worthwhile. You'll ride your mountain bike over suspension bridges. You'll also have the chance to pass horses and mules carrying supplies along the way, while interacting with the friendly local muleteers. You'll have to tackle the steep climb and cross areas affected by landslides before arriving at Thorong Phedi, the starting point of the challenging Thorong La pass, at an altitude of 5416 meters.

Day 12: Cycle from Phedi to the pass (5416 m) and descend to Muktinath (3810 m).

Today is the most difficult, but also the most rewarding day of your mountain-biking adventure. Get ready to hit the trail at 4am. Conquer the heights at a leisurely pace as you push or carry your bike to the summit of Thorong La Pass, at an altitude of 5416 meters. Don't forget to admire the grandeur of the Himalayas, which will give you the energy you need to tackle the difficult passages with ease. Congratulate yourself on reaching the summit of Thorong La, for you've achieved an incredible milestone. Admire the glory of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Tilicho Peak as you descend the most beautiful single track to Muktinath. Muktinath is one of the most important pilgrimages for both Hindus and Buddhists, and is believed to offer salvation. Don't forget to visit the Muktinath temple and take a bath under 108 jets of water. This bath is said to purify all your sins and negativity, making you as innocent as a child and as pure as Buddha.

Day 13: Trek from Muktinath to Kalopani (2530 m)

Today is an incredible day for mountain biking, as you cross one of the most beautiful and unique trails Mustang has to offer. The Lupra trail, known for its flowing, technical descents, offers some of the best views of Dhaulagiri, Nigiri, Tukuche Peak and Tilicho Peak. After having had time to visit the Muktinath area, you'll start your day with the steep ascent to the Lupra pass and the descent to Jomsom. You'll mountain bike along the Kaligandaki River, taking time to pass through the village of Marpha. We'll also take time to explore the villages of Larjung and Kobang before taking the magnificent bike trail through the Sirkung pine forest. Today's ride will be relatively longer than on other days. However, the views along the way and the downhill and flat sections will certainly make you feel that the ride isn't that long. Today's night will be spent in a comfortable hotel in Kalopani.

Day 14: Hike from Kalopani to Galeshwor (900 m) and back to Pokhara.

We'll start our day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Today, we'll descend through incredible scenery to Galeshwor. On the way, we'll have the opportunity to observe several authentic villages such as Ghasa, Dana and Tatopani. We'll cross the world's deepest gorge, formed between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. We'll also take time to admire the magnificent view from the Rupse waterfall. On arrival in Galeshwor, Beni, we load our bikes onto our vehicle and begin our journey to Pokhara, marking the end of your exceptional mountain biking vacation with us.

Day 15: Route/vol fresh Katmandou

Today marks the end of your mountain biking trip with us in Nepal.
