Suggested period: October-November and April.Duration: 16 to 24 days.Maximum altitude: 5 415 m.Formalities: TIMS and entry of the National Park (2 000 Rs).Organization: trek easy to organize autonomously.Accommodation and Food: lodges and inns throughout the course, as well as camp areas. With more than 350 km to travel within a minimum of 16 days, the Tour tower is the archetype of great trek. In addition to the four summits that coiffent the Annapurna, hiking allows to observe the Manaslu and the Dhaulagiri and a myriad of peaks that form a concentration of exceptional mountains. From the circus of Manang, facing the Black Roc, the ice drop of the Dhaulagiri, and still before the Macchapuchare which reveals its face in shape of a fish tail, never the effort seems free so much the landscapes are striking and varied. In a few days, trails move away from the subtropical valleys where poinsettias bloom to reach the arid area of high altitude where lakes with mineral waters are the only spots of vivid colours. At the outlet of the Thorong, the horizon moves and opens onto the Tibetan plateau before joining the alpine forests, which in turn disappear in favour of the forests of rhododendrons and mountain flanks carved into terraces. For our greatest happiness, the succession of Indo-Nepalese, Mananguis, Tibetan, Thakalis and Gurungs villages brings, almost at every step, a new atmosphere.
