Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After your breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full day safari. Tarangire, Tanzania's third largest national park, is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park, which is famous for some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. Here you can see lions, leopards, cheetahs, lesser kudu, buffalo, oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. After the safari, you will return to your camp/lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Day 2: From Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
On the last day of your safari, you will have an early departure. Ending with a quick breakfast, you will make an early descent into the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest inactive, untouched and unfilled volcanic caldera in the world. It has a massive floor of about 260 square kilometers with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 5 hour crater floor safari will show you plenty of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is certainly recommended. African elephant, buffalo, black rhino, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs and lions are found in abundance. After a picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo Pool, you will begin a steep climb to the upper crater exit. This is the last leg of your safari, with a 4 hour drive left to Arusha. You will be dropped off at your preferred location in Arusha in the late afternoon. With an incredible experience and tons of memories to cherish, this is the time when you say goodbye to your team.
