Day 1: FRANCE - SAN JOSÉ
Flight to Costa Rica. Welcome and transfer. San José is a lively, commercial capital. The city center is easily explored on foot, from the cathedral to the central market, via the various museums. A cultural immersion! Meals on your own. Night at hotel.
Welcome to Costa Rica, land of Pura Vida! After a long flight and with your luggage in hand, you'll be met at the airport by a driver holding a sign with your name on it, who will take you to your hotel. Once you've settled in, you'll receive a call from your local French-speaking representative, who will provide you with all the information you need and the latest Tips to make the most of your vacation. Day 2: SAN JOSE - TORTUGUERO
Steps: Parque Nacional Tortuguero
Departure for Tortuguero. Departure for Tortuguero through the impressive Braulio Carillo National Park, a vast primary forest with impressive canyons and rivers, hundreds of plant varieties, numerous bird species and ancient trees. Boat trip up the river to the lodges. Lunch on board. Discover the village and free time. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: TORTUGUERO
Steps: Parque Nacional Tortuguero
Enjoy breakfast. Discover the lodge trails and explore the national park on a boat trip: see caimans, spider monkeys, birds fishing in the canal, sloths. Lunch, dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: TORTUGUERO - ARENAL
Steps: Parque Nacional Tortuguero, Laguna De Arenal
We have breakfast. Crossing the Tortuguero canals and pick-up of rental car. Departure for Arenal via Sarapiqui, an agricultural region with pineapple and palm heart farms. Surrounded by a verdant landscape of tropical forest and pastures, the Arenal volcano is one of the country's most spectacular sights. Meals on your own. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: ARENAL - MONTEVERDE
Steps: Laguna De Arenal, Monteverde
We have breakfast. Drive along Lake Arenal and its splendid scenery to the high forest and mountain region of Monteverde in the Cordillera de Tilarán. Meals on your own. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: MONTEVERDE
Steps: Monteverde
Breakfast. Discover the Monteverde forest with daytime walks to discover the luxuriant flora: trees, orchids and bromeliads, moss, ferns etc. and night-time walks to meet the wildlife. Meals on your own. Overnight in hotel.
Day 7: MONTEVERDE - RINCON DE LA VIEJA
Steps: Parque Nacional Rincon De La Vieja, Monteverde
We have breakfast. Drive to Guanacaste along a stretch of the legendary Pan-American Highway. We pass through the small town of Cañas and Liberia. Stroll through the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, with its fumaroles, bubbling pools and ancient trees. Meals on your own. Night in hotel.
Day 8: RINCON DE LA VIEJA
Steps: Parque Nacional Rincon De La Vieja
Enjoy breakfast. Enjoy a swim in the volcano's natural hot springs, free walks (waterfalls, suspension bridges, the Mirador) or a host of activities (horseback riding, tubing). Meals on your own. Night at hotel.
Day 9: RINCON DE LA VIEJA - PACIFIQUE
Steps: Parque Nacional Rincon De La Vieja, Manuel Antonio
Breakfast in Samara. Samara is a small village on the shores of the Pacific Ocean where you'll find small bars and restaurants by the beach, for a perfect moment of relaxation with your feet up by the water's edge. Meals on your own. Night at hotel.
Day 10: PACIFIC BEACH
Steps: Manuel Antonio
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to enjoy the seaside and hotel facilities. Numerous activities are available, including boat or kayak trips, cycling or driving to explore the surrounding beaches. Meals on your own. Overnight stay.
Day 11: SAN JOSÉ - FRANCE
Return to San José. Return to San José. Return of the vehicle and transfer to the airport. Flight to France. Meals and overnight on board.
