Day 1: First night along the Rio Chagres, on the edge of the primary tropical forest.


Arrival in Panama

Upon arrival in Panama, a Nativa Tours representative will pick you up at the Tocumen International Airport and take you to the Gamboa Rainforest Hotel, located in the Soberanía National Park and only 30 minutes away from the Chagres River and the Panama Canal. Enjoy this exotic retreat away from the noise and bustle of the city! Day 2: Excursion by boat and cable car canopy.

Today you will enjoy a boat trip, the Gatún Expedition, where you will pass through the Panama Canal, an opportunity to see large container ships. During this excursion, you will see wildlife such as white-faced capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, turtles, as well as Caymans and crocodiles that live in the lake! After lunch, we will offer you the cable car ride, a tour that will take you several kilometers up from the mainland through the silent forest. Day 3: Stay on an island with only one hotel: yours!

Departure to Isla San José, Archipelago of Las Perlas

Early in the morning, transfer to the Marcos A. Gelabert domestic airport for your 20-minute flight to San Jose Island, where you will stay at one of Panama's most unique hotels: "Hacienda del Mar" in the Las Perlas Archipelago.

The place has 14 private bungalows, a large and comfortable clubhouse with bar and restaurant, where the "catch of the day" (fish, lobster and crab) is caught around the island. The island of San Jose is a wonderful and wild place, inhabited only by deer, wild boar and other small mammals. Brightly plumed birds populate the pristine forests, surrounded by beaches of calm Pacific waters. Overnight stay in a "Tucan Suite".


Day 4: Second day on site. Many activities. Ballads on this big island.

After breakfast, you will take the flight back to Panama City, and upon arrival at the Marcos A. Gelabert airport, our driver will be waiting to take you to the Central Hotel. Departure to the San Blas

Our driver will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the hangars for your shared or private flight to the San Blas archipelago, specifically the airstrip of Corazón de Jesús. Welcome by your captain and aboard one of the sailboats of the San Blas Sailing fleet. You will sail around the San Blas archipelago and experience the beauty of the 365 islands, only 10% of which are inhabited!

Day 7: continuation of the cruise

A unique experience: two days of sailing on the San Blas archipelago, which is located on the Caribbean Sea a few miles from the North coast of Panama, selected as the third most beautiful destination in the world! Visit the traditional Guna villages and learn about the famous "Molas". Explore the deserted islands, go snorkeling, fishing and kayaking... and enjoy some time to read and rest, away from mass tourism!

Flight back to Panama City. Our driver will be waiting for you at the Marcos A. Gelabert airport to visit the most important sites of the capital such as the remains of the old city of Panama (Panama la Vieja), destroyed by the pirate Henry Morgan in 1671. Continue to the colonial city of Spanish architecture (Casco Antiguo) built in 1673. It was the neighborhood where the French workers lived, led by FErdinand de Lesseps to build the Panama Canal at that time. Let yourself be led through the narrow streets to discover the historical heritage of Panama.

Visit the plazas, the public parks, the Plaza de Francia, Las Bovedas, the church of San José with its wonderful golden altar, the cathedral. At lunch time, we will take you to a prestigious restaurant. After lunch, we will go to the Miraflores Locks to discover the passage of the ships through the locks. Watch the Panama Canal Commission's video presenting the operation of this important inter-oceanic waterway.

A visit to the museum is also included: a mine of interest. You will then be taken to the Amador Promenade, a man-made construction that connects three islands. The Amador Promenade offers a breathtaking view of the city.

Day 11: Discovery of the interior of the country and its folklore

We will take you to the domestic airport Marcos A. Gelabert Domestic Airport for your flight to Chitre in the province of Herrera, located in the Azuero Peninsula, which also includes the province of Los Santos, in addition to the southeast of Veraguas. The Peninsula of Azuero, Panamanian region known as the cradle of folklore due to its rooted traditions, which include many of the most famous religious festivities of the country. Handicrafts are another of Azuero's great attractions. Parita, the oldest colonial village in Panama, offers excellent handicrafts. Overnight stay at the Hotel Cubita.


Day 12: In the heart of the traditional Panamanian culture.

Considered by many the "cultural heart of Panama", the inhabitants of the Azuero Peninsula live their traditions and folklore with great pride and express it in their day to day life all year long. During this excursion, you will observe in detail the making of the "pollera", one of the most beautiful typical costumes in the world, visiting craftsmen who have dedicated their whole life to the making of the costume. You will also visit the workshops of two local artisans who are dedicated to Panamanian folklore: one who makes the masks of the "little devils" that are used for the dances of the "Diablicos Sucios" and the "Gran Diablo" and the other who makes the wooden drums that cannot be missed in the typical Panamanian music. At the end of the tour, we will take you to the Alonso Valderrama domestic airport for your flight to Panama City, where a driver will be waiting for you for your transfer to the Hotel Central.
