Day 1: The medieval city of Rhodes

Steps: Rhodes Ville

The Dodecanese's main island retains an unparalleled medieval heritage, particularly in the city of Rhodes-ville. The Knights of St. John shaped the face of the walled city: to see for yourself, take the Rue des Chevaliers and stop off for a visit to the Grand Master's Palace, the finest architectural example of this era. Then visit the former hospital, now home to the Archaeological Museum. The medieval city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is well worth a full day's visit.

Day 2: Ottoman city and old Jewish quarter

Steps: Rhodes Ville

It is the Ottoman alleys of Rhodes city that will hold your attention on thissecond day: in the old city, the district called "Bourgos" offers a striking testimony with its mosque Soliman the Magnificent, its library or its baths. The old Jewish quarter(Juderia) can also be visited from Martyron Evreon square; the Jewish Museum of Rhodes in the beautiful synagogue reminds us of the importance of the Jewish community before the tragedy of the Second World War.

Day 3: Mandraki and Lindos

Steps: Rhodes Ville, Lindos

To discover the new town of Rhodes, what better way than to explore the area around the port of Mandraki (old port). Here you'll see the hallmarks of Italian architecture and can take a break on a sunny beach. Don't forget to spend half a day in the magnificent village of Lindos, where the acropolis is undoubtedly the highlight. The beaches surrounding the village are another strong argument in favor of this excursion.
