Day 1: In the footsteps of American presidents

Steps: Baltimore, Washington Dc

After visiting the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial, erected in honor of the1st and3rd Presidents of the United States of America, we'll take a photo in front of the White House and visit the National Museum of American History and the Capitol.

Day 2: Annapolis, ephemeral capital of the United States

Steps: Annapolis

Head to Annapolis (Maryland), which for a few times the American capital of the Revolutionary War, before it was decided to move the capital to Washington D.C. Visit the Maryland William Paca House, between a crab cake and a walk on the harbour.

Day 3: Mount Vernon, George Washington story

Steps: Mount Vernon, George Washington Birthplace National Monument

In the footsteps of George Washington, the father of the American nation, then go to his estate in Mount Vernon, south of Washington, one of the country's most visited monuments. Continue your way to reach the plantation where he was born, the George Washington Birthplace National Monument.

Day 4: Richmond and Williamsburg, witnesses of the colonial period

In Richmond, Virginia capital, stop Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Travel back in time guaranteed in Williamsburg with the reconstitution of a small 18th-century colonial town with inhabitants in costume, as Americans love.

Day 5: Jamestown, back in time

Steps: Jamestown, Yorktown

We put on costumes of the time in Jamestown, the site of the first permanent colony in America, founded in 1607 by Captain John Smith. A few feet away, the small port town of Yorktown was the scene of a decisive battle of the War of Independence for the American insurgents.

Day 6: Virginia Beach

Steps: Virginia Beach, Jamestown, Yorktown

Enjoy a walk along the coast to Virginia Beach. Cape Henry Memorial is located at the location of the first British settlers who founded the colony of Jamestown. The site also pays tribute to Admiral de Grasse, a French hero of the naval battle of Chesapeake Bay, an important prelude to the victory of Yorktown. The long Beach of Virginia Beach will be perfect for a swim in the afternoon.

Day 7: Charlottesville, in the footsteps of Jefferson

Steps: Charlottesville

After a good morning on the road, you will reach the charming university town of Charlottesville to be in the footsteps of Thomas Jefferson. This great independence actor, editor of the Declaration of Independence and the 3rd president of the United States, was also a remarkable architect. We will see his sublime building in Monticello and the he founded, two remarkable UNESCO World heritage sites.
