Day 1: Tenerife

Steps: Santa Cruz De Tenerife, San Cristóbal De La Laguna, Tacoronte, Anaga

Visit the historic center of La Laguna, and take a gourmet break in one of the many bodegas in the pretty pedestrian streets, then take the wine route to Tacoronte. Push on to the picturesque village of Taganana at the northern tip to enjoy your first sunbathing at the foot of the cliffs of Playa de São Bento, on a beautiful beach of black volcanic sand glistening in the sun. Have a drink at the top to enjoy the view. On the way back, drive through the heart of theAnaga mountain range, enjoy the cool pine forest and the spectacular views from the ridge road to Santa Cruz. Once in the capital, dare to treat yourself to a good meal in this little tourist town, to get acquainted with the best of the Canarian gastronomy.

Day 2: Tenerife

Steps: Puerto De La Cruz, La Orotava, Parc National Du Teide

Discover the Teide. Start by visiting the picturesque village of La Orotava, and then take the road from the village up to the entrance of El Portillo Park. On the way, stop at one of the many scenic restaurants that line the road. Inexpensive and very typical, they offer a view of the valley not to be missed. The ascent is marked by viewpoints and rocky features, you pass through the pine forest before reaching the summit, which is more pebbled. The road to the cable car passes through lunar landscapes. Then opt for the 2-hour walk to Roque de Garcia which makes a loop. Then take the Santiago road back down, a little before sunset to see the islands of La Palma, El Hierro and La Gomera over a sea of clouds, and then you'll pass through your first lava field, the one that almost swallowed the village below. Head for the coastal road to Puerto de la Cruz! You will have dinner in a typical and colorful alley of the Muelle, and have a drink in the plaza del Charco.

Day 3: Tenerife

Steps: Puerto De La Cruz, Icod De Los Vinos, Garachico

Explore the center of Puerto de la Cruz, the old port and its fishermen's quarter, and then take a dip in the Piscinas del Lago Martiánez - an oasis of water and tropical vegetation designed by the great Canarian artist César Manrique. Eat at a restaurant near the muelle. Take the coastal road toIcod de los Vinos to admire the magnificent thousand-year-old dragon tree visible from the town square. Continue towards Garachico, another village that deserves a short walk through the pedestrianized historic center. Then take the typical road of the Teno massif, passing by Buenaventura, and push on to the Teno lighthouse, at the western tip of the island. Take a short hike through the forest, and sleep in a typical rural house of the area.

Day 4: Tenerife

Steps: Masca, Los Gigantes

Go to Los Gigantes early in the morning. Buy a combined ticket including transportation to Masca and back by boat. This highly organized tour takes you to a picturesque village clinging to a cliff. Then hike the Barranco de Masca (3 hours) to the cove where the boat will pick you up. The hike is spectacular, down the Barranco Gorge to the sea and you will have a picnic in the cove. On the way back, the boat will take you along the massive cliffs that line the coast and take you out to sea to observe the whales and dolphins that live between Tenerife and La Gomera. To relax, go sunbathe on one of the beaches of the south coast and have dinner there.

Day 5: Tenerife

Steps: Santa Cruz De Tenerife, Vilaflor, Agaete

This time, take the southern route through Vilaflor to climb the Teide. The road is again spectacular. Plan to arrive early at the foot of the cable car (before 10 am) to climb to the top of the island, which is 3,000 meters! Reserve your place online to access the last 200 meters of the volcanic cone. Admire the panoramic and enchanting view! If you are an experienced hiker, go back down by the Pico Viejo (6h), this hike is probably the most beautiful and spectacular of the park. The less adventurous can go the other way by Montaña Blanca. At the end of the day, go to the road of La Esperanza! Then head to the port of Santa Cruz to take a boat to the small fishing port ofAgaete, just across the road in Gran Canaria. Sleep there.

Day 6: Gran Canaria

Steps: San Sebastian De La Gomera, Las Palmas De Gran Canaria

After the long hike of the day before, relax on the beautiful white sandy beach of Maspalomas, with the sea of dunes in the background. In the afternoon, don't miss a visit to the beautiful city of Las Palmas, without missing the Casa de Colón and the other exceptional museums in the historic center of Vegueta and Triana, especially the Canario Museum for its exhibition on the Guanches, the primitive pre-Hispanic people. Take the opportunity to buy souvenirs. Treat yourself to a good meal on your last evening, then go for a drink in a lively bar in San Telmo.

Places of interest :
MUSÉE CANARIO / CASA DE COLÓN / TRIANA

Day 7: Gran Canaria

Steps: Las Nieves, Las Palmas De Gran Canaria, Teror, Tejeda, Artenara, Fataga, La Vega De San Mateo, San Bartolomé De Tirajana, Santa Lucía

For your last day, head back to the top, with your head in the clouds, or above! From Las Palmas, go through the typical village of Teror, and then go up through Vega de San Mateo to reach the circular road on top of the island. Don't miss the top of the island, Pozo de Las Nieves, and the short hike (45 minutes) to the foot of Roque Nublo, a gigantic monolith. From there, let yourself be carried away by the majestic view over a large part of the island and the peak of Teide, on Tenerife just opposite. Go and eat in Tejeda. Take a detour to the troglodyte village ofArtenara before descending to the beautiful village of San Bartolomé. The road then splits to lead to Santa Lucia or Fataga. Whichever you choose (we recommend Fataga), the road will be incredibly dizzying. For your last moment on the island, enjoy the last rays of sunshine on the beach of Maspalomas very close to the road you just drove down. Take a last dip in the ocean before having dinner on the terrace.
