Day 1: Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia

Steps: Washington Dc

Leave Washington D.C. in the morning and drive to Bedford near Lynchburg, in the Blue Ridge Mountains (about 1 hour drive) to discover the Bedford Wine Trail. There are about ten wineries to discover.

Day 2: Continuation of the Bedford Wine Trail

Steps: Shenandoah National Park

Continue your exploration of the eastern vineyards, taking in the beautiful scenery of Shenandoah National Park, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Smith Moutain Lake.

Day 3: Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail

Take the car and leave Bedford for south eastern Virginia, and join the peninsula on the south shore of the Potomac River, where it empties into Chesapeake Bay. On this spit of land, we travel through the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail.

Day 4: End of the Wine Trail and return to Washington D.C.

Steps: Washington Dc

Spend your morning visiting a few more wineries, nestled on the bay, then hit the road back to Washington D.C.
