The Shenandoah National Park is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, an important chain of central Appalachians. It is crossed from the north to the south by the Skyline Drive, a 105-mile long road extending from Front Royal to Waynesboro and Amenities I -64. Beyond that, this very beautiful road extends through the Blue Ridge Parkway. Covered with mixed forest and very rich in forest fauna, Shenandoah National Park has about 800 km of hiking trails, including the famous Appalachian Trail. The highest peak is Hawksbill Mountain, which culminates at 1 235 metres above sea level.
