How to get there - Ourgentch
Travel and internal flights

Steps: Boukhara
Arrival in Ourgentch (direct flight from Paris in tourist season) and transfer to Khiva. If you arrive directly in Ourgentch with Uzbekistan Airways, we recommend that you spend an extra day in Bukhara to stroll around the old town and do some shopping.

Bukhara. Spend the day visiting the desert oasis and the main monuments in the city center: the Nadir-Divanbeg madrasa, the domed markets and thePoy Kalon complex with its minaret. Take time to bargain for souvenirs in the cupolas of the ancient bazaar, where you'll find some of the country's finest craftsmen in silks, cutlery, carpets and miniatures.

Train to Samarkand
Visit the Timurid capital

Steps: Samarkand
Samarkand boasts some of the country's most prestigious monuments, a legacy of the vision of an emperor, Tamerlane, who wanted to make it the most beautiful city in the world. The Registan, the mosque and the Bibi Khanum mausoleum can be visited during the day, but save the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis for the late afternoon to enjoy the best light on the mosaic mausoleums.
