Day 1: The essentials of Sydney

Morning. Go to the Opéra House to visit it, admire the bay and take your first photos. See what the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens looks like. Then, take the road to The Rocks area. On the way, go past the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), Cadmans Cottage and the Overseas Terminal. Go to the tourist office to take a map of the city and then to the Discovery Rocks Museum, then join by the small streets the top of the neighborhood and see, at Sydney Harbour YHA, the updated and highlighted sites of the old settler houses. Then, go to Susannah Place Museum. Enjoy lunch in the heart of The Rocks.
Afternoon. Take the steps that allow you to access Luna Park and explore the surroundings of the banks of Milsons Point. Return to The Rocks and head to the observatory. From there, go down to Martin Place and take a look at the MGO. Take the road on Macquarie Street to St Mary's Cathedral. Cross Hyde Parke to the Anzac War Memorial. Complete your visit to the city centre by walking along George Street or the nearby streets, visit the Queen Victoria Building (QVB) and the Westfield Shopping Centre.
Evening. Head to Kings Cross. Spend the evening in one of many pubs or restaurants around Kings Cross Station, or close to Victoria street, Darlinghurst side.

Morning. Go to Darling Harbour. You can choose from a variety of attractions, including the Australian Maritime Museum and the Sea Life Aquarium. Then, head to Chinese Garden of Friendship and explore the Chinese gardens. For lunch, join on foot or by tram west of Pyrmont, Sydney Fish Market (SFM) to enjoy a seafood platter or fish & chips, or visit Australian Museum (or other museum), or to take the ferry and join Manly or Taronga Zoo from Circular Quay. If you choose Manly, extend your visit in the late afternoon to North Head, especially North Head Scenic Drive, from which you can admire the Sydney bay at sunset in an extraordinary setting.
Evening. Come back to Sydney and dine at Woolloomooloo on the Finger Wharf.
