Detail of the stay : Two people, one week, a stay in three stages - 7 days
Day 1: Nairobi, making contact
Steps: Nairobi
In the morning, visit the central market, the most animated and colorful place in Nairobi. An opportunity to immerse yourself in a typical African atmosphere. Visit the Karen Blixen Museum in the afternoon. You can also meet the baby elephants of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. For a memorable dinner, choose between the Carnivore or the Lord Delamere Terrace.
Day 2: Maasai Mara, the ultimate must-see
Steps: Nairobi, Maasai Mara National Reserve
One hour flight to the Maasai Mara. A one-day safari from Nairobi is possible. However, an overnight stay is more reasonable. You will be able to observe all the wild animals in the best possible conditions. For accommodation, there are many lodges and tented camps, but nothing cheap. Opt for a smaller, more intimate camp.
Day 3: Flight over the Masaai Mara in a... hot air balloon!
From your camp, many activities are possible and already exceptional (day and night game drives, walking safaris, dinner in the savannah...), but there is one that you do at least once in your life: floating above the Mara in a hot air balloon. An expensive experience, but striking. A pure moment of happiness
Day 4: Amboseli, the other big national park
Steps: Amboseli National Park
Flight to Amboseli. With Kilimanjaro as a backdrop, the variety of its landscapes, and its herds of elephants, Amboseli Park is the other must-see. Amboseli, "salt dust" in Maasai, is the land of all contrasts. Small in size, it is quite easy to visit. A safari in the evening, accommodation in a lodge for a night or two.
Day 5: Amboseli, the picture of his dreams
Day 6: Mombasa and the Swahili coast
From Amboseli, there are flights to Mombasa and a daily train, otherwise you will have to go back via Nairobi. Visit Mombasa, in the evening accommodation in a seaside resort. South of Mombasa, you will have the choice between Diani beach, with its coral reef and turquoise lagoon, and Tiwi beach, for more calm and privacy. Two nights on site are recommended.
Day 7: Farniente on the Indian Ocean coast
Enjoy the beach. Many excursions are possible, the choice is yours: swimming with dolphins, scuba diving and snorkeling, visiting Kisite Marine Park and Wasini Island, kite surfing, mountain biking, ... or simply enjoy the beach and the turquoise lagoon that offers itself before your eyes. The next day, return to Nairobi and flight home usually in the evening.
