Day 1: Abidjan - Visit of the Plateau

Steps: Abidjan

Immerse yourself in the frenetic bustle of the city with a visit to the Plateau, the economic capital's teeming business district and the original expansion point ofAbidjan, whose center is largely accessible on foot. Among the must-sees are the Saint Paul Cathedral and the Administrative City, the Great Mosque, the District Hotel and the shady alleys of the Presidential Palace and the Prime Minister's Office, the National Library, the Museum of Civilizations of Côte d'Ivoire and the Court Garden, which offers a breathtaking view of the Cocody Bay. In the afternoon, opt for the markets: the KAVA(Craft Center of the city of Abidjan) in Zone 3, the Cocody market, or the large Belleville market in Treichville. In the evening, a little trip to Ambroise or the rue des Mille Maquis in Marcory is a must: nothing like it to get initiated into the festive atmosphere of the Ivorian nights.

Day 2: Abidjan - Cocody

Direction Cocody, then, for a coffee on one of the superb terraces on stilts of the mythical Ivory Hotel with a beautiful view on the skyline of the Plateau on the lagoon, and on the majestic swimming pool glistening peacefully under your feet. On the way to the Banco, a beautiful national park near the center. Back from your sylvan escapade, push on to Cocody-Riviera. Want a trendy evening to end the day in style? You'll be spoilt for choice between the many lounge bars and gourmet restaurants. Alternatively, Boulay Island, a 15-minute boat ride from the Marcory marina, is the place to go for an afternoon of relaxation in one of the island's restaurants, each with its own swimming pool.

Day 3: Yamoussoukro

Steps: Lac De Kossou

Direction Yamoussoukro, which you will reach after a maximum of three hours. The visit of the basilica alone is worth a few hours. Not to mention the great mosque, the lake with the sacred crocodiles, the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for peace, the Kossou dam... On the spot, some maquis and restaurants along the lagoon offer the promise of a pleasant evening, even if the real show is on the central avenue, with its feverish night rhythm and its lot of braiseuses and passers-by.

Places of interest :
BARRAGE DE KOSSOU

Day 4: Back to Abidjan

Steps: Bingerville, Abidjan

Return to Abidjan with, if possible, a stop in the archaeological park of Ahouakro ( north of the sub-prefecture of Tiassalé, about 150 km from Abidjan), an unjustly unknown wonder of Côte d'Ivoire unfolding in the middle of a massif of magmatic and granitic rocks. Back to Babi, you can take the afternoon to stroll through the quiet streets of Bingerville, visit the New Normandia farm, the Botanical Garden, the former governor's palace, the Combes museum, the Bonafos flower plantation, or the partial nature reserve of Dahliafleur on the edge of the lagoon ...

Day 5: Grand-Bassam

Steps: Grand-Bassam

Departure for Grand-Bassam, classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2012. Count on a good half-hour drive in all. You will quickly spend a whole day marvelling at the old colonial buildings in the France district, a real open-air museum, but it would be a shame to miss the pleasures of the beach and its string of hotels and restaurants, not to mention the pirogue rides on the lagoon. And finally the effervescent Bassam by night, in the joyful local agitation.

Day 6: Assinie

Steps: Assinie

Last but not least, here you are in Assinie, about sixty kilometers further. Long sandy beaches, bordered on one side by the lagoon and on the other by a jealous and exclusive sea, in a heavenly configuration. Here, everything is possible: idleness under the coconut trees, long walks on the beach.

Day 7: Assinie

Enjoy activities on site: fishing, skiing, buoyancy, wakeboarding and even flyboarding on the calm waters of the lagoon, excursions in pinnace or 4x4 to discover the surroundings, visits to fishing villages...
