This restaurant is located in the "capital" of salted fish, not far from a museum dedicated to this method of preservation, and of course serves many fish dishes. You can enjoy them in a beautiful wooden house, with its nice wooden decor, a stone's throw from the sea. Cheap burgers and meat dishes with sauce are also offered as well as ice cream for dessert. Don't forget to ask the chef for the fish of the day. A restaurant that is as friendly as it is delicious, and whose value for money is often appreciated and acclaimed.

RÁIN

World cuisine restaurant €€
3.5/5
2 reviews

The best restaurant in Keflavik, it is said, located in the "old" part of the town, right by the bay. The place is, it is true, very pleasant and the menu is sufficiently eclectic for everyone to find something to his liking: good preparations of fish and seafood, meats but also pasta and salads. The dishes are beautiful, good and the plates perfectly prepared, at a relatively correct price. The service is as welcoming as it is quick and efficient, perfect for spending a good moment. One comes and returns with pleasure.

The dessert menu is full of flavors and delicacies. Good to know: the place is sometimes a victim of its own success, so it's best to book by phone.

Why not eat Thai food in Iceland? As incongruous as the idea may be, the Krua Thai restaurant has been pleasing locals and tourists alike for years. This small Thai restaurant is located not far from the harbour and right next to the bus station. Seen from the outside, it doesn't look like much, and yet! The portions are copious, to be eaten on the spot or to be taken away and the prices are very soft. VITABAR

World cuisine restaurant

This is a small café in a typical Reykjavík neighbourhood, ideal for a break with friends in a friendly atmosphere. A few tables, a simple counter, and a clientele that comes in at all hours to have a drink or to taste what makes the reputation of the place: the delicious homemade hamburgers. We strongly recommend the blue cheese burger. When you taste one of the varieties offered, you understand why the Mac Do in the city centre had to close down! The quality-price ratio is excellent, with reasonable prices for Iceland.
