Before entering the shop at the Galerie de Lans on this tiny street, mark a stop time to observe the building and its old turret. The Galerie de Lans ranges between exhibitions of works of art and sales of original works. 40 artists from the Rhône-Alpes region are displayed under the term "5 formats, 5 prices". Sculptures, contemporary paintings by Michel Delcey, Mina, Odile Escoffier, Tardivel and others. Arriving in 1974 at the age of 20 in the Maurienne, Francesco Gallo, known as Inis, fell under the spell of the colours that surround him. Deep blues, reds, ochres that he handles for a contemporary painting. His paintings speak of his childhood memories, of the mountains here, of the skies of the Bauges tormented by purple and grey. His paintings are scattered all over the world. A recognized talent who remains attached to Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, Inis opens her first gallery there. Two more will follow in Châtelard-en-Bauges and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. The post-impressionist artist exhibits his works (paintings and sculptures), and welcomes you to his gallery in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne to accompany you on your visit.
