The Shakesbeer devotes Bérulle's place as a strong place for the nocturnal nightlife. With its small terrace of the most pleasant and its warm-hearted-wood-paneled-stone and stone-shaped stone- screen, the English pub has the right idea to import, directly from the Channel, bottles of beers of half a liter that are resold at the price of a normal pinte. Open every evening - Sundays included - until very late, Couche-Tard lives up to its name. This Grenoble pub is a must for all self-respecting students, who will leave their mark on the walls. The atmosphere is always festive, with loud music, 11 beers of all kinds on draught, over 40 cocktails and shots to vary the pleasures. Students love to gather here to party and dance on the almost foolproof wooden tables. We squeeze in a little if possible, gently jostle each other, and warm up. As the evening draws to a close, there's only one thing to look forward to: the next evening. A place for nightlife.

As part of the "With Natural" street, here is the Passage, a tea salon where you can discover all the flavours of the Palais des Thés. A Smart Council, come here in the morning, take a real breakfast for 9,50 €, with a hot drink, fresh fruit juice, string, churn butter and jam… which will keep you up to noon without scraping. Snacks at noon with toast and crumbles, but it's time to taste that a tea salon takes its full dimension, when you come to enjoy an excellent tea accompanied by a chocolate bag. At the Recoin (1650), a nice novelty. Anakoo, a lounge bar, surprises first of all by its nice decoration in a very personal style. Normal, Julia, the manager of the place, is an upholsterer and creates herself its seats and its benches in her workshop located beside the bar. And if, like us, you fall in love with the place, decorative objects and 100% handmade furniture are for sale. Permanent exhibitions (paintings and sculptures) that change regularly. On the bar side, a nice selection of local beers and wines to accompany quality sweet and salty dishes.

An idea to break the ice! The Ice Shock Bar is undoubtedly the best news that we are discovering on the tracks this year. First of all, there is the beautiful terrace perfectly exposed where you can dance, on the good sound mixed by a great Dj, the ski shoes at the foot… At an altitude of 2 100 metres, you'll find a nice mountain chalet décor, very warm, to sample the shooters served in ice glasses. An ice that melts gradually in contact with our lips while the alcohol flows (with moderation) in our throat… The possibility to privatise places, especially in the evening, for exceptional celebrations. Note that you can also enjoy a dish of the day (reservation in advance) from 12 €. Everything is home and it's as delicious as the atmosphere. This is an unavoidable and completely givrée stop that the Smart has adored.

The D'Enfer Pub can take you to paradise... This is undoubtedly one of Grenoble's friendliest pubs. A pub with an old-fashioned atmosphere, with darts, table soccer and billiards. But it's the quality of the beer selection and the acoustic rock concerts that make this place so famous. The upstairs is a little low-ceilinged, but you can stay on the first floor to enjoy the warm ambience and share a pint, a terrible pitcher of planteur, cocktails or, better still, a pure malt whisky. It's the ideal place to privatize for a bachelor or bachelorette party. Good soundtrack.

Friendly word games to announce both a tea room and an art gallery to us, all of a beautiful originality. Our first stop was one lunch to enjoy a fast, but tasty, lunch menu at €10 consisting of a smoothie, a savoury pie, a dessert and a coffee. More than a tea room, you enter a world. That of Corine which takes us into a world where objects, paintings and photos occupy an area well furnished. Café Myrö is a good idea! A "cantine" with a cheerfully colorful façade, a gourmet coffee-shop in the heart of pedestrian streets. A charming little terrace that extends into a cosy pocket-sized room. A warm welcome from Magda, an authentic barista with a passion for specialty coffees, who has created a healthy, home-style cuisine based mainly on local, seasonal fruit and vegetables. From a delicious breakfast of pancakes and banana bread, to a lunch of buddha bowls and amazing wraps, not forgetting the homemade brunch, certainly one of the best in town. And, of course, a coffee to go with a homemade pastry. Already a must.

Opening its terrace onto Place aux Herbes, La Renaissance is one of the city's oldest cafés (1917). More than a century old, the café is run by a friendly, dynamic team who welcome you with a smile all day long. The shaded terrace alone is well worth a break, but you must enter the café if only to admire the original ceiling, now restored to its former glory. In the Saint-Bruno district, a place with several trays, like our bike, for a good ravito. Part bar-café, part organic and local canteen, but also - and this is more original - part bike maintenance and repair workshop, Vélo Café spares no effort to please us with events. Combo if you bring your bike in for a service while enjoying the terrace. A great place to share.

In the heart of Les Deux Alpes, Vida took over this establishment 9 years ago to refurbish it and create a place in its image: warm, friendly and convivial.
