Created in 1981, this free radio station broadcasts in the Drôme and Ardèche regions, from Valence to Nyons via the Diois, and from Aubenas to Privas, and aims - with some success - to be the local and musical substitute for the big national stations. In 1983, Radio Drôme was inaugurated, which today has become France Bleu Drôme Ardèche. The station occupies modern and spacious premises in the rehabilitated area of the former Latour-Maubourg barracks. This local Radio France station, the voice of the Drôme and the Ardèche, alternates regional broadcasts, giving practical information (weather, cultural agendas, sports calendars, classified ads, DIY, gardening, etc.) programming interviews, political broadcasts, news...

Its story began on the slopes of Lyon in 1982, when Father Emmanuel Payen set up the antenna of France's first free Christian radio station in the attics of the Fourvière basilica. Fourvière became RCF for Radios Chrétiennes de France, then Radios Chrétiennes Francophones, and has continued to expand its airwaves, giving rise to France's leading associative network. The local RCF Drôme station organizes round-table discussions on subjects of interest to more than just Catholics, and publishes a regional news bulletin.
