Promenade ou jogging sur les traces des Huguenots

Sports events

Let us begin the presentation of this path by a historical digression. The Huguenots were, of the time of religious wars, the Protestant Protestants then in conflict with the Catholics. Following the revocation of the Edict of Nantes in 1685, nearly 300 000 Huguenots were forced to leave the country. The forest of Saoû, which was the cradle of local Protestantism, became a haven of importance for those who did not "désertèrent". Today, it is precisely here that the promenade we are proposing is taking place. At the start of the Dolphin Hostel, follow the directional signs indicating the Grande Coomb, then Les Douglas. After 4 kilometres, a guard on the right edge will indicate the end of your journey; you will only have to do half-turn. A recommended walk for families.

Tariff: free.

Distance: 4 km.

Duration: 1 h.

Difficulty: very easy (accessible to strollers and wheelchairs).

Departure: Dolphin Hostel.

Markup: directional poles.

Balade à pied autour de Clansayes

Sports events

Back to the time of the Romans and the Templar… You are here in Clansayes, and before you take your walk, we invite you to join the dungeon, Saint Vincent Church, and the strange three-niches room, right next door. Over the periods, the latter had different roles: It was first a sanctuary and became a boardroom. Enjoy the time you need from the panorama, and it's gone for about two hours! In the direction of the south, make a hook by Notre-Dame-de-Toronne chapel. Old hats of the Templar, she deserves ample attention. The route then provides you with a passage through the Greenhouse Coast through its remarkable "natural stairs". Finally, you will return to a good port along a former Roman track, punctuated by this and there other remains. Be careful!

Tariff: free.

Duration: 2 h.

Difficulty: .
