The Dubai tramway, inaugurated in 2014, forms a loop that includes 11 stations over 11 km. It is limited to the Marina district as far as Al-Sufouh. It is connected with the metro at two locations: Jumeirah Lake Towers and Damac Properties. The Palm Jumeirah station connects to the monorail that serves the Palm. The tramway offers a Gold class, located at the front while another train is reserved for women and children. Downloading the Shail application is recommended to get your bearings. The tram has wifi.

Opening time and information on DUBAI TRAMWAY

Every day from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. Fares and card categories are the same as for the metro. You need a NOL card, which you can buy at all metro stations and some bus stations. The card is valid for all public transport except the Monorail. Several cards are available. If you're a passing tourist, or only use public transport occasionally, this is the Red paper card for a maximum of 5 day passes or 10 journeys. If you're staying for more than a week and use public transport a lot, the Silver card is for you, and if you prefer to travel in 1st class, you can use either the Red or Gold card. There is a day pass for AED 20 or AED 40 for 1st class, but this must be specified at the time of purchase. Otherwise, fares depend on distance, number of zones crossed and the color of your card, but it's 4 AED for 1 zone and 8.5 AED for 2 zones or more. For 1st class: 8 AED for 1 zone and 17 AED for more than 2 zones. You must swipe your card at the entry terminal, but the fare is calculated and deducted from the card when you exit the streetcar and swipe your card at the exit terminal. Free for disabled people and children under 5. Download the RTA and Shail applications to find out how much it costs and how long it takes to get from one place to another.

Tant que la ligne n’ira pas plus loin pour mieux desservir la côte, cela reste un gadget un peu trop lent. Pratique tout de même pour rejoindre JBR grâce au métro
