Prayers for good harvests and good omens, and glutinous rice battles during this festival at the Lombok Temple.

Also known as Perang Ketupat, the Perang Topat festival is held at the Lombok Temple in November or December depending on how far ahead the Sasak calendar is. The celebrations, offering good omens and a good harvest, are quite comical. Separated into two teams (Hindus and Wetu Telu), the faithful throw palm leaves filled with glutinous rice at each other. The whole thing is done in a very good-natured atmosphere and the locals are delighted to share this playful and amusing festival with the tourists.
