It extends over some thirty kilometres, linking these two towns, and is accessible on foot, by bicycle, snowshoe, cross-country ski and even on horseback. Access from the Hamilton area is to the Dundas Valley Conservation Area in Dundas and access fees may be charged (Jerseyville and Brantford access is free).
