Monuments to visit Great North

This former railway station, all wood, with its beautiful corridors and wharves and an vegetation that seems to fight with the rails, is maintained by the old workers'building. Declared National Monument in 1981. The whole thing deserves a visit.

In Georgian style, the palace was built in 1904 for Saltpeter, Astoreca and Granja. As was the case with many wealthy homes, we used to build Oregon pine. Its façade, its large balconies, its stained stained glass windows, its sumptuous staircase which leads to the first floor and its vast outbuildings give this small palate a spectacular appearance. Currently, it serves as a cultural centre in the city and exhibits a collection of shells (over one thousand), antique furniture and paintings.
