Railway station Hautes-Pyrénées

Tarbes and the Hautes-Pyrénées department are at the crossroads of the mountains, the Atlantic and the Mediterranean coasts, and enjoy an excellent location that attracts a growing number of tourists. The station is well served by the rail network and the site is very busy during the winter and summer seasons. Several TGV, Intercity and sleeper trains connect Paris to Tarbes via Pau and Bordeaux. The TER network also allows to reach some high altitude resorts and the Basque Country.

The Lourdes train station is about 700 meters east of the Sanctuaries and most of the hotels in the Marian city. The station is on the Toulouse-Bayonne line. There are direct trains from Paris, and it takes 5 hours during the day. There is also a night train which connects the Paris-Austerlitz station to Lourdes in 10 hours 30 minutes. Finally, special connections are set up during the periods of pilgrimage, linking the city to all of Europe. Lourdes is also linked to Tarbes by train.
