Every June for the past 30 years, the village of Anglars has been transformed into a living museum as part of its fête votive. over the course of an afternoon, 350 extras dress up in costumes to bring back to life old trades, everyday scenes, typical characters and village life, in a show that's sure to be enjoyed by all. The free Anglars festival attracts around 7,000 people, including over 5,000 for the Sunday show. Other weekend events include a concert by a local band, an aperitif with bandas, a traditional lunch, fireworks and a bal musette.

Espalion's local farmers' market is a not-to-be-missed summer event. Located right in the center of town, the market offers a convivial opportunity for visitors to talk to local producers and share a meal to live music. Tables are available for those who wish to sample the products on the spot. It's the ideal opportunity to discover the flavours of the region and support the local agricultural economy. The Mairie d'Espalion is the main partner of this event.

Sauveterre-de-Rouergue celebrates the products of the season: chestnuts and sweet cider. "La castagna", or chestnuts in Occitan, used to be part of the well-established ritual of family gatherings. So, for over 50 years, on the last Sunday in October, in the pretty setting of the Place des Arcades, you can enjoy roasted chestnuts at this annual gathering, while admiring the movements of a folk dance group. It's a great way to combine the pleasures of the eye and the taste buds! A tasty moment to share with the whole family!

For forty-five years, Sylvanès Abbey has been setting the stage each year with its International Festival of Sacred Music and World Music. This not-to-be-missed event features internationally-renowned artists working on a specific theme, and offers the chance to hear choirs, solo singers and organists perform sacred, liturgical, classical and traditional works. Performances take place in the former ^12th-century Cistercian abbey.

The Traces du Fromage de Laguiole is undoubtedly one of the most popular walks in Aveyron. Combining walking and gastronomy, it attracts over 2,000 participants every year, who cover between 12 and 21 kilometers on foot, snowshoes or skis. From buron to buron, the stages offer the chance to dine on delicious Aubrac produce: Laguiole PDO cheese, mulled wine, gentian, fouace, aligot... You've got to admit, it makes you want to keep going, doesn't it?

Each summer, in the heart of the night, the city has its coat of light. 5,000 candles cover Arcades Square, like a fire carpet, while the streets are lit up to the torch. A fairy tale that attracts more than 2,000 people to each edition and serves as a writer for other events. Concerts, shows…

Saint-Jean-d'Alcapiès is a small town in the Aveyron department. Their website features a variety of delicious dishes such as craquant au chocolat, a slate of regional cheeses, magret de canard aux miel d'acacias et romarin, souris d'agneau au miel et romarin, assiette de foie gras mi-cuit and assiette de saumon norvégien. To get to Alcapies-Events, we recommend not entering the village of Saint-Jean-d'Alcapiès, but staying on the D293. You'll find them just past the Alcapia renewable energies building. You can also reach us by car via the A75 freeway, by plane via Montpellier or Rodez airports, or by train via Millau, Tournemire Roquefort sur Souzon or Saint-Affrique bus stations.
