The fario is the wild trout of the mountain lakes, the one that reproduces by going up the rivers. It is the real thing as we like it, a little thyme, a drizzle of olive oil simply grilled. Here is an artisanal organic fish farm on the banks of the Touyre. In a concern of respect of nature, the ponds of breeding are near the river where grow trouts and salmon of fountains. You will be able to fish and taste on the spot thanks to the barbecues placed at disposal.

Founded in 1922, the Ariège federation of approved associations for fishing and protection of the aquatic environment coordinates the actions of 43 fishing clubs, representing some 10,000 anglers. It is responsible for promoting the activity, but also for safeguarding fishing resources, and coordinates the actions of the various local fishing associations. A federation particularly committed to the development of mountain fishing resources.

A graduate fishing guide, Robert Menquet accompanies you and teaches you the fishing in lively waters. You leave with him in search of trout using the techniques of the toc and the fly. This guide makes you discover the beautiful country of Couserans, a wild and mountain country where rivers are lively and clear, and where the fishing becomes frankly sports.

This AAPPMA chaired by Jean-Pierre Fugairon (since 1977!) focuses on the following areas of influence: Ariège, from Ruisseau Creek to Savignac-les-Ormeaux, Lauze sur 2 km upstream of Ax-les-Thermes, Oriège from Lake Orgeix (also referred to as Lac Lake) to the confluence of the Ariège and Lake of Goulours. A sports fishing area in the mountains, sports trout in vives vibrant, sporty the approach walking in lakes and altitude ponds!

Enjoy a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. For a few hours or a few days you will be able to fish profusion trout fario, trophy salmon, squash, black-bass. Three options are available to you: helicopter fishing in Andorran mountain lakes, fishing in two beautiful lakes in Montaut even the river path on Ariège. The stays are all inclusive: permits, accompaniment, food, lodging accommodation and, for the lakes of altitude, a small helicopter trip over the mountains. An altitude of 2500 m is set in a beautiful environment rich in 10 lakes populated with countless fish (30 to 50 cm). The first two are 3 minutes from the refuge. Salmon of fountains, farios trout are very present in all these lakes. On average, we fish between 20 and 30 salmonids per day, fly, lures and natural bait. 8 fish per stay can be kept in the chimney of the refuge. It takes about 8 hours to reach these wonderful sites, in an enchanting setting and… 10 mn by helicopter! From 1 July to end September: departure every day.
