For a lot of Batavians, when we talk about Elfstedentocht, it means the fabulous ice race that unfortunately doesn't take place anymore since the global warming has intensified... This cycling race is certainly a nice consolation! It is one of the most popular sporting events in the Netherlands, so it is a tour of the eleven cities of Friesland during a bike ride. The whole race is carefully prepared and adapted with a version for children.
