NOISY OYSTER

Fusion restaurant and international cuisine €€

With such a name, "the noisy oyster", this restaurant could only be opened by funky Capetonians, who pushed their delirium both "cool" and sophisticated. City dwellers had to find a little originality in this posh town. On the menu: exotic dishes revisited, influenced by "Cap Malay" cuisine such as massaman duck, seafood laksa, melting sushi... The setting: feet in the water on a wooden deck, pretty colourful fabrics stretched out, tables lit by colourful lanterns and a fire in the boma.

DIE STRANDLOPER

Seafood Restaurant €€

At Die Strandloper, there's a sort of feast air. Lanterns float under the sun or in the moonlight, some wooden tables have their feet in the sand, the sound of the waves can be heard in the background... A fabulous stopover on the beach of Langebaan, for a seafood ventrée, mussels, a seafood curry, or a waterblometjiebredie followed by a moerkoffie. No questions asked here, one price for everyone. And for the children? They pay according to their size! You're still thinking, really?

GAAITJIE

Panoramic restaurant €€

This is a high-class restaurant opened by Suzi Holtzhausen, now taken over by the Kruger family and chef Jaco Kruger. A pretty little house on the beach to enjoy the panorama and dishes that will amaze your taste buds: judge the homemade bread to whet your appetite with small delicacies, the whole lobster and its bundle of asparagus, the fish curry with rice, the braised lamb with figs... A cuisine that does not overdo the sauces like some local restaurants. Don't miss this address, and don't forget to book.
