Market gardeners Haute-Vienne

An orchard over fifty years old, taken over ten years ago by Serge Malamas. Apples are grown here: Belchar, Jonagold, Rubinette and since 2014 Juliet (organic), of which he is the only producer in the region, as well as pears and cherries. All this is done in an eco-responsible way, that is to say, with concern for the environment, in-depth knowledge of the terroir and constant attention to detail. Sales are made at the boutique or at the pick-your-own (reservation required for cherries).

In the land of trees and water, it's easy to bite into apples, another of Limousin's flagship products, used in many desserts. In his orchard, Jacques Siardeix grows golden, gala, sonia and chantecler apples. Other products include peaches and pears. You can come to the farm every day to buy your ration, or find his stall at markets such as the Christmas market and the summer market in Vicq. The farm also raises cattle (selling beef and veal) and sells lamb.

What a beautiful story this couple has not hesitated to leave the Paris region to settle in Haute-Vienne and start a market gardening activity, oriented permaculture and agro-ecology. The fruits and vegetables are grown without fertilizers or chemical treatments, the products are healthy and natural. Present on fairs and markets, it is also possible to order packages and baskets online, with delivery directly to the house. Jams, honeys, spreads, home-made pies are also available.
