Not very practical, because it is very far from the city, the bus station of Mien Tây serves, with express and non-express buses, the south of the country and the cities of the Mekong Delta: Vinh Long, Long-Xuyen, Châu Dôc, Cân Tho, Rach Gia. The station, small in comparison with Mien Dong (due to the size of its area), welcomes more than 13,000 passengers every day. Very famous for its rice trade, Cho Lon is considered as the Chinese district of Ho Chi Minh City.

It is the largest bus station in Binh Thanh district. Serves the North as well as the city of Vung Tàu (2 hours drive). Very early morning departures, from 5 am. Hourly departures to Dà Lat (at least 7 hours drive), Dà Nang (at least 22 hours drive), Nha Trang (11 hours drive), Hanoi and Hue (about 30 hours). Several companies offer to book tickets online: a convenient way to prepare your trip in advance.

The station is located in the west of the city. You can get there by following Cach Mang Thang Tam street to its end and then Truong Chinh. From this station, buses leave for Tây Ninh and Cu Chi. Please note that these buses are not recommended for the visit of Cu Chi tunnels or Tay Ninh caodaïste temple which are far from the bus stops. 42 daily departures are made from this station. Very affordable ticket prices.

The Ho Chi Minh City train station is one of the most important in the region. Connections by the Reunification trains with all the coastal towns to the North. Remember to book tickets for berths at least three days before departure! Agencies and cafés can take care of booking tickets, which you can also obtain online.
