Things to see and do Northeast

The Baradla-Jósvafői cave in Aggtelek is an impressive natural site well worth a visit. With its various guided tours, visitors can explore the different parts of the cave and admire its unique rock formations. In addition to cave tours, the park also offers other activities such as hiking and environmental education programs.

These national stables regularly organise equestrian shows as well as auction auctions! At present, at the Stud stud Farm, 80 blooms and the number of standards required to cover them (all belonging to one of the eight rearing lines) form the basis of the breed of des. The total number of horses with their foals is about 230. They are high in the wild meadows of the Bükk Mountains. The small museum, next to the stables of the reproductive standards (Park utca 8), covers the history of four centuries of breeding in the region, and allows to see different types of harness (beautifully braided to Hungarian) and teams. 

Szécsény, a town in Hungary, is home to the MNM Forgách-Lipthay Kastélymúzeum Szécsény (Forgách-kastély) Heritage Museum. For culture lovers, there are also other attractions to visit in Szécsény, such as the Kubinyi Ferenc Múzeum, the Nostalgia Museum and the Prison Tower. The city also offers shopping opportunities, with craft stores and a local market.

A medium-sized operation that keeps a well-defined driver line and works in close collaboration with the famous Budapestois restaurant Gundel, for which most of its production is reserved. The choice, extended sparingly, ranges from traditional wines to more modern ones.

This large company, which has preserved ancient Hungarian grape varieties, produces wines from several vineyards in the region. It markets some old vintages of Bull Blood that prove that this wine has had better time before the collectivist organisation of the vinification undertaken by the Communist regime in 1970. A collection of old wines rests in the depths of the cellar of the Bishop. The best is currently a 1964 leányka (a-year-old girl!). Please note, for the anecdote, that the cellars of Egervin are located beneath the cemetery. It is apparently good for wine! In the shadow of the giant Egervin, there are a few small producers who have made a long way to revive quality wine.

This small country train connects Pálháza Rostalló with Kőkapu. Travel three times a day (morning, noon, evening), one hour's drive.
