ASSOCIATION AIRE NOU
Read moreCreated in 1995 in Baho, Northern Catalonia, the Aire Nou association aims to protect and promote the cultural heritage of Bao and Riberal. It also aims to actively promote and defend the Catalan language and culture, by offering a wide range of events and activities: castelle competitions, correfoc, dance, traditional balls, card games, Festa Major, Diades Aire Nou de Bao, castanyada, calçotada, rifla, "acampada" and annual trip... UN PETIT COIN DE PARADIS
Read moreMartine and Raymond Larcher are real collectors of plants and flowers, the 2 500 m 2 garden they set up 9 years ago are referenced by the Languedoc association «time of gardens». And as a result, flowery throughout the year, it concentrates beautiful collections of Chinese and Japanese peonies, Siberian iris and germanica, des and azaleas, ancient roses, hémérocalles or lys of one day, pink laurels, fruit and citrus fruits. In the 500 m ² pool surrounding the landscaped area, 85 variétés and lotus varieties open with daylight between 10 a. m. and 19 p. m. summer to show their beautiful colours. You can also discover this night garden with lighting and water jets. In a small colombier of the culbutants pigeons and a aviary of exotic birds, they reinforce this little corner of paradise if needed!
ASSOCIATION BRESSOLA
Read moreThe Bressola association was founded in 1976 to promote Catalan language teaching in North Catalonia. It set up the first immersion school in Perpignan, with 7 children. For many years, she fought for recognition and subsidies. Today, with 7 schools and 1 collège, and over 1,000 students, La Bressola has become a benchmark for education, language immersion, culture and associations in the country.
