LE DAMAS
Read moreThanks to Sam and Maya, right next to the cinema, this small street is enriched with a new restaurant since then: Le Damas ! It's easy to guess what you will taste there. On the menu, as a starter: tabouleh, homos (chickpea puree with sesame cream), moutabal (eggplant caviar with sesame cream), vine leaves. Foul Medammas: beans salad, parsley, tomatoes, onions. Accompanied by fried Syrian bread, or Falafels (chickpea doughnuts). Kebbehs: Stuffed wheat balls with meat. We'll have chosen the Syrian dish or the tabouleh, samoussa with cheese, vine leaf, homos, moutabal, which are a very good way to discover the gourmet Syria. It's fresh, spicy, fine and just the right amount of coriander, parsley, fruits and dried vegetables. We continue with a Syrian-style melting lamb shank that we strongly advise you! To test also: tajines and moult skewers, accompanied by Lebanese wines, local or a cool Arak. This address is very charming. Note that there are also some shellfish and crustaceans from the Thau basin, and oriental baklavas and pastries to round off the meal. Everything is there! Shaded terrace and possible group meals and a very nice welcome of this young couple! Maya in the kitchen and Sam in the room. Note, excellent jasmine tea to finish.
