Read moreThe library has continued to attract crowds of students for over one hundred and fifty years (it opened its doors to the public in 1856). It was Lieutenant-Governor Charles Joseph La Trobe who initiated the building project in 1853, and the building's best-known room, the Trobe Reading Room, bears his name. The building changed its name over the years, eventually becoming the State Library Victoria, and it also expanded, resulting today in an impressive building where it's easy to get lost!

The Australian Silo Art Trail now stretches over 8,500 km, and there are now over 100 water towers part of the movement. In Horsham, the silo painting was completed in 2022 and celebrates Yanggendyinanyuk, an Aboriginal leader born in 1834. On the way to and from St Arnaud, you'll be able to see other achievements.
