Unbeatable value for money for this long-established establishment (1948), which closed its doors in 2022 before reopening in April 2023 under the impetus of a group of volunteers. Food trucks now provide the restaurant's catering services, allowing visitors to discover new flavors. The dynamic group of volunteers also organizes a wide range of evening entertainment. Ideal after a day at the beach: take a seat on the sunny terrace and enjoy the great outdoors while admiring the ocean!

A restaurant to escape to Bali with a tasty and hearty cuisine. Jules, in the kitchen, wishes to enhance the traditional Balinese dishes by drawing inspiration from his roots and ancestral know-how. Sambal, Balinese curry, the typical gado-gado and the inevitable nasi goreng will make your mouth water. The vast majority of dishes are vegan and gluten-free. Cooking classes are organized: you will learn to cook three Balinese dishes.

Scrambled eggs are a must, and Avo on toast proves that you can keep things simple and tasty! Try home-made creations such as roasted mushrooms with miso or falafel with beet. Oxtail croquettes, duck confit, lamb neck with smoked yogurt, white chocolate mousse... the plates are beautiful and full of flavor. The whole is crowned by a large choice of wines and beers, but also cocktails.

This great restaurant offers authentic Thai cuisine. We will also note its pleasant service with a view on the water. Founded in 1881, this pub has been restored to create warm, relaxed spaces with open fireplaces. This allows it to offer intimate spaces as well as a place for families and friends to gather. It has a children's play area and an outdoor café for the warmer months. Its excellent bistro serves pub fare based on local produce.

Dylan and Angelica welcome you here. Each of the dishes offered is a delight and is tasted with pleasure. The menu changes every week according to the offers proposed by the partner farmers. If you like the biker vibe, love nature and are looking for simplicity, both in presentation and in the type of dishes, the Old Road Cafe is not only for you, it's not to be missed. Burgers and salads make up the bulk of the menu, but you'll feel right at home in this simple building with its large outdoor terrace. A thousand and one motorcycles park outside on weekends. It has to be said that the Old Pacific Hwy, which follows the M1, is a delight to ride, whether by motorcycle or car.

We particularly appreciate the places in terrace, in the backyard of the establishment. Pizzas, homemade pasta, veal and seafood are prepared to order. Musicians are sometimes present to make the meals more pleasant.

The history of the Pump House Tavern begins with the history of industry in Sydney. In the 1890s, the building was owned by the city and suburban water power company. In 1975, it was saved from demolition by the Heritage Council of NSW who transformed it into a brewery. Today it is a splendid microbrewery but also one of the most famous night spots in Darling Harbour. There is a wide selection of craft beers on draught and traditional food to suit all.

Casa Luna is a restaurant and cocktail bar located just a stone's throw from Byron Bay's main beach. Perched at the very top of the building, you'll have a beautiful view of Byron Bay. The place is meant to be festive and trendy, and it succeeds with a beautiful decor and subdued lighting, while still being open to the outside. But it's above all the quality of the restaurant that blew us away: we were expecting fairly classic tapas, but instead we got very well prepared dishes, and all at a very fair price for the quality. A great address!

Located in one of Paddington's quieter streets, this pub is a Sydney institution... and brings its own share of excitement. It has been selling scotch and British beer since 1875 (Boddingtons, Newcastle Brown, Guinness, Old Speckled Hen). In its early days, it was frequented by soldiers from the Victoria Barracks. Today, it is a warm pub that has retained a typical British atmosphere. A lot of wood and old-fashioned decoration remind the timelessness of the place. We eat pizzas, salads and burgers.

In the heart of The Great Lakes Region, a café-restaurant on stilts offering fishing boat, catamaran and canoe rentals. We love coming here early in the morning, for an excellent breakfast, a good cappuccino and a nice slice of cake. At lunchtime, why not try the pancakes, salads... and other delicious dishes? The atmosphere is friendly and the staff welcoming. And best of all, before or after your meal, you can take a boat trip on the lake, ideal for families, singles or friends.

Built in 1898, the Great Western Hotel is part of Cobar's heritage and was designated as a historic monument by the National Trust in 1974. Ideally located, this magnificent white-painted hotel boasts the longest veranda in the state (100 meters in total), decorated with beautiful ironwork. The restaurant, which serves some Italian specialties, is quite famous among the locals and pleases many visiting tourists. However, ask to see the rooms if you want to stop over for the night.

A nice address for a very inexpensive lunch in Manly. The restaurant is almost hidden away, on the 1st floor above the Alice Dumpling Bar restaurant, but it's well known among locals, who flock there to enjoy the AU$12 lunch special. For this unbeatable price, you can enjoy pad thai, green or red curry, accompanied by your choice of tofu, chicken or beef. The restaurant boasts a terrace with a magnificent view of Manly beach. What's more, the quantities served are quite gargantuan!

Don't let your first impression put you off: when you leave the station, the building (the former Savoy Theatre) doesn't look like much... But once you've climbed the stairs, you'll be delighted with your discovery: the bar area is beautifully decorated, and the restaurant offers a magnificent view of the Blue Mountains. On the plate, the dishes are beautifully crafted: we devoured the salmon and the dessert. And if you're feeling a little thirsty, you'll be spoilt for choice with our extensive cocktail list.

A nice stop for lunch when you arrive in Katoomba. The restaurant, located on Katoomba's main avenue, offers a different concept for lunch and dinner. At lunchtime, the menu is fairly simple and economical, offering vegetarian options. The cookies are very good and the service is quick and good. In the evening, the restaurant is more of a tapas experience, with tasting menus available at AU$70 and AU$80. The setting is pleasant, with a pretty room decorated in a sober, green style.

A restaurant that prioritizes quality over quantity: around 30 covers in a warmly decorated room with ochre walls. The kitchen is open so you can watch the chef at work behind the stove. The restaurant's concept is to share dishes, whether for starters or main courses. The sashimi was delicious, and the dessert original. All in all, a great place to come back to! As a sign of quality, the restaurant was awarded a "hat", the equivalent of our stars or toques.

This restaurant is worth a visit for its setting alone: it's housed in a former church, superbly enhanced and decorated for its new purpose! There's also a large terrace for those wishing to soak up the sun. It's run by the same team as the Avalon restaurant, which is a guarantee of seriousness and quality. On the plate, fresh produce and a fairly classic menu for brunch. For dinner, the menu features dishes to be shared between guests. Several vegetarian and gluten-free options.

This is the only place to eat in the small town of Tarana. The establishment, which once had several cabins to accommodate visitors, no longer rents them out since the Covid crisis. The chef's specialty is the Tarana Tiger Burger. Fish, steaks and snacks are always available. The pleasant outdoor terrace offers a lovely view of the surrounding area. Byram and Deborah, the owners, provide impeccable service. An address not to be missed in this superb valley on your return from an excursion.

This restaurant is located in a historic Sydney house: it was once owned by Andrew Hinchcliff, nicknamed the "Wool King". The recent restoration has managed to preserve the charm of the original building and added just the right amount of modernity, with a kitchen open to the dining room. The menu is Italian-inspired, but also has Australian accents. We were won over by the vegetarian dish and the parmesan butter served with ciabatta. In fact, the restaurant is particularly renowned for its homemade bread.
