Whether you're an experienced motorcycle enthusiast or an amateur, the truth is well known in the Cévennes, particularly in the Aigoual massif: mountain biking is king, especially in Valleraugue where "Base VTT Explosion" is located. For the past 15 years, this base has offered packages to suit all levels, whether you're a beginner, amateur or professional. Services include à la carte rentals, topo-guides, technical and logistical assistance, downhill formulas and raid organization.

On foot or by bike, you will ride along the Rhône on a sandy track without too much of a difference in altitude, as far as the abbey of Saint-Roman. It is already planned that in a few years' time, this Green Way will be extended to the Pont du Gard; it will then measure 18 kilometres, this cycle route linking Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean. But don't worry, this will give you time to improve your skills!

The route offers three loops totalling 25 km. There are no major difficulties, and it's sure to delight nature lovers. Following the coloured markers along the back channel, you first enter the land and then the undergrowth, which leads you to the Villeneuve dam. Cross the dam, pass the campsite and follow the markers or signs along the Rhône river back to the starting point, the Tour Philippe Le Bel. It's a refreshing and interesting stroll through water, vineyards, garrigue and diverse fauna.
