In the splendid and historic arena of Nîmes, meet in May at Pentecost for the famous ferias and their Camargue races! For 5 days, the festivities are in full swing: Royale de la manade Saumade, bullfights, international recortadores competition, novillada de la cape d'Or... Nowhere else can you experience this incredible festive, mythical and traditional atmosphere in such a unique setting!

Sesame is a 4-day exhibition on well-being, green tourism, the environment, music, organic cosmetics, organic textiles, the organic market, personal development and ecological housing. In October, Anduzepaystribute to the symbolic tree of the Cévennes with two popular events: the chestnut festival and the soup festival. The village is transformed into a huge market of arts and crafts, local produce and flavours (roasted chestnuts, honey, wine, charcuterie, cheeses...). There's also a soup competition and tastings. Without doubt, this is a popular festival with the flavour and traditions of the Gard!

This huge market, set at the foot of an impressive pyramid of reinette apples and sweet onions, features a wide range of local produce from the Gard region. Gourmets will love the giant onion soup or sweet onion fritters with chestnut flour, or the "special fair" menu in the town's restaurants. You'll also find Camargue bulls, olives, Bouzigues oysters, pélardons, chestnuts, mushrooms, Vézénobres figs, Uzès black truffles..

The greatest names in classical and baroque music from all over the world have been gathering in July in Uzès for over fifty years. In the courtyards of the duchy and the bishop's palace, in the cathedral of Saint-Théodorit, the church of Saint-Étienne, the temple or the auditorium of L'Ombrière, symphonies and concertos enchant the ducal city during two weeks. The festival is gradually opening up to other musical genres, notably jazz, in order to reach a wider audience. A charming meeting, loved as much by the musicians as by the spectators.

For four days, the emblematic places of the city of Uzès will dance; at the Ombrière, the Duchy park, the Temple garden, the courtyard of the Town Hall, the old wash house, the Eure valley or the Marronniers promenade. The Uzès Danse festival is a highlight of the season and allows us to put forward choreographers who are little known in France. You will be able to discover new forms and experimental approaches of dance, but also to take part in workshops of choreographic practice proposed by the artists of the festival.

From April to September, the Grau-du-Roi arena is the place to be for this amazing sporting spectacle! Each new season rekindles the flame of bullfighting tradition, with numerous competitions over several festive afternoons: the Trophée des As, the Trophée de l'Avenir, the Trophée de la Mer, the cocardière cow and young bull races, and the Course des écoles de raseteurs. Organized by the Syndicat des AOP Olive & Huile d'olive Nîmes, the Advent Oil Festival takes place at the beginning of December, in many communes of the Gard. The opening of the mills of Beaucaire, Uzès, Villevieille, Saint-Gilles ... is conducive to the discovery of the domains and the tasting of local products. In the past, abrivado was the term used to describe the driving of bulls from the pastures to the bullring under the watchful eye of the gardians. Today, it's a bullfighting tradition that consists of simulating these bull transfers by releasing them into the village streets during traditional Camargue festivals.
