BARRANCO DE BALOS

It is probably the most important set of rock inscriptions in Gran Canaria. The natural support of these Petroglyphs is a basalt massif that rises in the middle of the Barranco de Balos. It is thought that it may have been a sacred place for the Aborigines, with geometric shapes and human representations schematized as lines that may suggest the fingers of a hand.
