Saint-Maur-des-Fossés is a town in the Île-de-France region. For new arrivals, the AVF Saint-Maur cultural association offers support in integrating into the city. The AVF organizes activities to discover the city, its museums, gastronomy and traditions. There are also opportunities to meet others who are going through the same experience. The association is present in several neighborhoods of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, and offers a range of reception options to suit the needs of new arrivals.

Opened in 1977, the Mac has two rooms - places and seats. She offers performances of theatre, dance, song recitals, and film festivals - Women's Film - and Digital Art festival - very famous.

At the very recent Art House Bernard Anthonioz, created at the initiative of the National Foundation for Graphic and Plastic Arts (FNAGP), various demonstrations take place regularly, highlighting young photography, graphics, calligraphy (less exposed disciplines) and contemporary art. For the story, the house owes its name to a legendary figure in the plastic arts policy in France: art editor, then member of the cabinet of André Malraux, then Minister of Culture, he worked for the setting up of the founding measures of a policy still in force: support for creators (setting up of 1%, state purchasing policy and public orders, aid to the first exhibition, law on validations…), legal and social protection of artists (construction of workshops, decree on original works, extension of social security to visual artists…).

Also called the Conservatoire des archives et des memoirs Homosexuelles, this association created by collectors in 1975 has begun a colossal collection and preservation of documents relating to the homosexual world in France and the world: leaflets, posters, posters, calendars, programmes, plans, magazines, novels, photos, comics, drawings, paintings, tourist guides and of course magazines. A true gay and lesbian archive, in sum, which to date is not subsidized and which is therefore not available if not online for a small part. Thus, the Academy team digitized the first issue of Akademos published in 1909 and considered the first homosexual newspaper in France.
