The industrial industrial heritage, when abandoned, is divided into two parts: the one that is simply demolished and the one that is converted. This is exactly what happened in Vitry when, in 1998 and after two years of work, Railway Station was born. The place, animated by a passionate team, has become one of the emblematic places of culture in the city in a few years. Open scenes, theatrical performances (of course), workshops, cabaret evenings are all proposals made to the curious. Original, railway Station has been able to transform a large unloading hall into a set of warm places and, almost paradoxically, it seems designed for these cultural uses. Note that the whole can accommodate artists in residence. This year, workshops of architecture or vocal technique, writing, cabaret are so many nice moments offered.

Until we have its own place, the talented team of this National dramatic centre takes its neighbourhoods in three sites of Ivry. She lives in parts of the repertoire and creates works by contemporary authors. In addition, it organizes workshops to raise awareness of the young and adult public.

The installation of the Théâtre des Quartier d'Ivry at Carnations manufacture is scheduled for the end of 2016.

It's the perfect cultural venue in the heart of Gentilly. This small, 50-seat theater welcomes troupes in residence, giving it a convivial feel. In the 2023 program, for example, there was a theater workshop, a writing workshop (from age 8) and a number of original creations for all audiences from age 4 upwards. Finally, the venue also offers theater workshops and cultural discovery courses for children, teenagers and adults, to allow talent - whether precocious or not - to blossom.

Located in the heart of the city - and easily accessible by metro - the Théâtre des 2 Rives (known to regulars as T2R) offers a rich program all year round. Multi-disciplinary and aimed at a very wide audience, you can marvel at a dance performance, be moved by a circus act, reflect at a conference or film debate, thrill to a concert or, of course, be entertained by a play. A favorite with locals, it's well worth a visit.
