The Restos du coeur, created by Coluche in 1985, needs no introduction. Those of the Rouen region, it is 20 activity centers, 15 000 people helped and 1 million meals served. Food aid is the best known action of the association, but there are other actions: help in finding a job, cooking workshops, legal aid, hairdressing, introduction to computers, baby relay. Film screenings are even organised during the winter campaign, followed by a debate with an animator.Everything to get back on track in life.

This national association runs a free helpline, open in the evenings, for those who are suffering, isolated and seeking comfort. On the other end of the line, callers will find trained student volunteers who can direct them to professionals. Confidentiality, anonymity and freedom of speech guide all exchanges. The Rouen branch needs more staff.
