The International Kite Festival, very popular in Thailand, takes place every 2 years on the 3rd weekend of March in one of the cities on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand (the last one was held in Cha Am). In parallel with the competition, folklore shows are organised, as well as a sale of local crafts. This is an opportunity to take a step forward before continuing further south.
