While the monumental building spoils the coastal landscape, the hotel's interior is reminiscent of the great luxury establishments of Central Europe, with highly professional staff and prestigious amenities (indoor and outdoor pools, solarium, children's pool, landscaped sea access, wellness areas, sports facilities, etc.). Spacious double rooms, up to 30^m2 in size, are similar to junior suites, with a refined design or neo-baroque style. All feature large picture windows, most with sea views.

Small, independent hotel. Well-equipped rooms well equipped with private balconies. The hotel was very nice. The hotel offers bikes to make the cycling cycle of Parenzana (the former railway, connecting Izola with the Italian and Croatian coast). The first hour of rental is free.

Quite far from the city's main attractions, close to shopping centres and major motorways, this hotel has several major shortcomings: high rates for rooms with outdated charm, difficult maintenance for a rather limited level of comfort, and an establishment that is not well developed enough. Completely renovated in 2017, Casa Bel Moretto is an annex of the Hotel Metropol and has 65 rooms, most of which have balconies. These are rather large and quite comfortable, with classic, chic furnishings, as well as a luxury bathroom and an XXL-size bathtub! The same goes for the outdoor pool, with its sea view... The terrace is equally splendid, especially at sunset.

Away from the town center - about 25 minutes by coastal road - this seaside resort offers direct, protected access to the sea; the beach is less crowded than elsewhere, although tourists are beginning to discover the area. The hotel's modern façade contrasts with its more traditional rooms, which are less slender than those of its downtown sister hotel (Hotel Piran), but still comfortable. Please note that the hotel closes between November and March.

The 3-star hotel is located in the busy city center, close to the Vinakoper wine bar-restaurant, but 3 km from the historic center, which is an advantage for quiet evenings and a disadvantage if you don't have a car. The comfortable rooms, some with balconies, are bright, decorated in acid colors and equipped with flat-screen TVs, minifridges and coffeemakers. The hotel also offers the service of a fine restaurant in a cosy dining room or on the terrace. Pets welcome and free parking.

Dajana and Boris Škibin had a dream: to renovate an old building into a friendly boutique hotel that they could run as a family with their two daughters. Hisa Krasna is now a reality. With a limited number of rooms, Hisa Krasna offers a privileged experience in contact with its guests. Four years after opening, the on-site restaurant was awarded a Michelin star, which is now repeated every year. An address with a whole history that can be enjoyed with a glass of wine on the terrace.

For those who love to play, the hotel also offers a tastefully furnished games room. A satisfying sleep is guaranteed in the 14 carefully furnished and air-conditioned rooms. The whole place is well designed and very pleasant for a long stay. One of the best value accommodation on the Slovenian coast.

The largest hotel in Izola, 230 rooms. Not far from the harbour. Hotel is very popular and even surfréquenté. The location is not quiet. The rooms have all the amenities. You will find sea water pools.

To the north-east of the city centre, near the port of Koper, this top-of-the-range bed and breakfast, built in a 14th-century building listed as a historical monument, is a temple of good taste and refinement in terms of layout and decoration. The rooms are all elegant and the studios are very comfortable. Breakfast is slightly disappointing compared to the overall quality of the service. The spa is cosy and invites you to prolong these moments of relaxation.

Located just 150 meters from the beach, these two semi-detached villas are part of the Adria Ankaran Hotel & Resort complex. While Villa Bor boasts excellent facilities (Olympic-size swimming pool, wellness center, thalassotherapy), the more modest Villa Cedra is surrounded by a large seaside garden, ideal for strolling. Its swimming pool is heated. Both offer well-equipped double and triple rooms with balconies and all the comforts of a 4-star hotel.

Very nice discovery that this small hotel built in a historic building in a picturesque fishing district, which recently opened its doors and is already keeping all its promises. The rooms are decorated with style, the equipment is modern and functional. Breakfast is excellent and particularly varied. A very friendly staff further enhances the final score. The view from the terrace over the old city and the waves of the Adriatic is simply magical.

Quite far from the city centre and the marina, this unpretentious hotel offers rooms of great simplicity, with limited comfort but impeccable cleanliness. The large terraces - sometimes larger than the rooms - are appreciable on sunny days. The bedding is average but the whole service remains suitable because of the very low price per night. The breakfast is rather low-range and industrial, its only advantage is that it is included in the price of the room. Possibility of renting a bicycle at an extra charge.

Wellness centre with comfortable rooms and 34 ^m2 suites, some of which overlook the salt flats. Balcony, air conditioning, quality Wifi and cable TV are included in the list of equipment in each room. These have the charm of the old one, you feel really good there. The establishment offers a wide range of services: fitness room, physiotherapy centre, multiple saunas, outdoor seawater swimming pool. Good welcome overall and absolutely impeccable cleanliness.

One of the latest additions to the Portorož bay, this hotel is well worth a visit. Rooms are modern, tastefully decorated and all have balconies with views. One of the hotel's major assets is the quality of its food and beverage offer, including a breakfast of rare quality, even when compared with other hotels of the same standard. In summer, the swimming pool will refresh you to your heart's content, while cooler periods are devoted to relaxing in the spa. The staff are highly professional.
