BANDEIRANTES TAXI

Taxi and VTC

The Bandeirantes Taxi group serves the city of Goiania and the surrounding area. As in all Brazilian cities, and even if Goiania is not a particularly dangerous city, it is necessary to respect the simple safety instructions. You must call the taxi from the pousada or restaurant or take it from the station. During the ride, the driver must activate the meter (day or night rates) unless you negotiate a flat rate before the ride. VTC Uber are also present in all cities of the country.

RADIO TAXI UNITAXI

Taxi and VTC

30% reduction at the end of the stroke. App available. Remember that the taxi is a fairly safe means of transport in Brazil as long as you respect certain safety conditions. Call the taxi at the central office or pick it up at a taxi rank. Do not hail it on the street. The driver must set his meter (day and night rates) unless you negotiate a flat rate with him. In general, rides remain affordable in terms of price. Today, Uber is very present in Brazil, in competition with taxis, it's up to you.

RODOVIARIA

Public transport buses and coaches

For intra-city transport (not to be confused with rodoferroviária, for inter-city transport). In a city made for cars, there are not always enough buses and the vehicles are often in bad condition, even if the set of cars was changed in 2014! The city is cross-shaped, so most of the lines pass through the rodoviária. The main lines running within the Plano Piloto pass through L2 Norte/Sul and W3 Norte/Sul.

Access: airport-rodoviária connection every 30 minutes or so

AÉROPORT SANTA GENOVEVA

Airport and passenger services

Since May 2016, Goiânia Airport operates in a new terminal, right next to the old one. Several daily connections to many Brazilian cities are possible with Latam, GOL, Azul, Avianca and Passaredo. Shops, car rentals and restaurants are available on site. This airport has the merit to exist, even if the relative proximity of Goiânia compared to Brasilia (206,8 km and 2h45 of bus or cars) will make prefer the bus.

To get there: take line 913 from the centre (departure from Praça Civica).
