Since 2018, Tours has had its own Ironman: "Tours'N Man, le défi des Rois". The program includes the events that make up the famous triathlon: swimming in the Rives du Cher lake, cycling and running between the Loire and Cher rivers. T-shirts and wine bottles will be distributed to all, proof that whatever the final classification, the most important thing is to participate!

Rendez-vous: Bernard Touchet stadium in Parçay-sur-Vienne. Bib pick-up from 7:30 am and first departures at 8:50 am.

Other practical information: any participant without a licence must provide a medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to running in competition.

On August 30, the commune of Chaumussay will take on its sport… and for cause: She will welcome her Strides, two popular races of 10 km and 16,7 km for occasional joggers and more confirmed sports. To each one of its level, rediscover the valley of the Claise, sneakers! In all, some 160 athletes will travel to take part in the event.

So choose the test that suits you best, put the trainers (you will need it), and be among the 250 athletes expected this year again around this user-friendly challenge. The festivities will begin in the morning around the Courteline room and will quickly stretch to the heights of the city.

The Jour de Cher festival is an opportunity to discover or rediscover the Cher in a different way. You will have the choice between a multitude of events throughout the day and this from 8:30 am. From the gourmet market to the microlight flight, from water sports to pedestrian walks, from bicycle escapes to river rides, the animations are numerous and diversified. A suspended dinner, a modern guinguette or a fireworks show, the evening is also very festive for this new edition of Jour de Cher. Check the program !

In Château-Renault, Sandrine and David Giguet have put together an incredible permanent exhibition, built entirely in bricks, featuring a variety of universes from Harry Potter to Star Wars to DC Comics. La Saugrenue is a collective of musicians founded in Tours in 2002. With an impressive musical diversity, the collective offers concerts and live shows for all kinds of events. In its 20 years of existence, La Saugrenue has performed nearly 130 concerts in France and abroad. The collective is made up of 8 musical groups and over 280 artists and technicians. To support artists in the development of their projects, La Saugrenue employs an administrator, a distribution manager and a communications and coordination officer. The collective is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Centre-Val de Loire region, the DRAC Centre-Val de Loire, the FRACA-MA, the Indre et Loire departmental council, Tours Métropole, the city of Tours, SACEM, CNM, SPPF, Adami and Spedidam.
