2 reviews

Establishment:

- Level I

- Gynaecology and Obstetrics Unit

- 28 beds - single and double rooms with washbasin, shower, WC, TV, tel.

- 4 rooms + 2 pre-work rooms and 1 césarienne block with adjoining alarm room.

Average length of stay: 4,4 days

Comments:

The Mutual Institut Montsouris is a high quality motherhood and whose appearance - which does nothing - is extremely pleasant, with completely redone premises, especially rooms whose clear paint reflects the light entrant… note that the block for cesarean sections and the alarm room are adjoining so as not to separate those mothers who gave birth by sections of their babies.

The catering is of quality, with the possibility of choosing its meals. Midwives - external to motherhood - offer courses in classical delivery courses as well as yoga and bocage courses, and preparation courses for dads, very popular.

Comments:

The rooms are individual but outdated, some hygiene and decrepitness problems have been reported, even though some rooms are beginning to be renovated. There are no delivery courses, you will need to follow them with a Liberal midwife in cabinet, reimbursed to 100%. No mystery, it is a large hospital, the flow is important, you will not be dorlotée but medically well followed.

CLINIQUE DU BIEN-NAITRE – PRIVEE ET CONVENTIONNEE

Maternity wards

Establishment:

- Level I

- Unit of Obstetrics

- 32 beds

- 3 kindergartens

Average length of stay: 4,5 days

Comments:

A must, from both a comfort and a medical point of view. Some rooms even overlook the terrace on the first floor, all are pleasant and have a bathroom. Your companion can sleep if you choose a single room, a bed is provided for this purpose. A certain synergy between obstetricians and midwives'teams is fairly reassuring for future mothers. Important, you're not just focusing on the baby but thinking about the well-being of the mother. A place where one tries to respect the wishes of women - physiological childbirth, epidural dose, breastfeeding… A House of Birth project, of nature design, is under study, the idea being to devote it one floor and keep the other for more médicalisées births. The establishment is dynamic and forward-looking - it listens to maternity trends.

Average length of stay: 5,5 days

Comments:

A beautiful motherhood with a very good reputation for women who gave birth to it. Many of them are returning to the second child. The establishment is held by the small sisters of Catholic maternity, but the religious aspect is not overwhelming - namely for non-combatants. After childbirth, meetings with other young mothers are proposed, including breastfeeding. Motherhood is beautifully decorated and hygiene is impeccable. The rooms are comfortable and comfortable and the kitchen is good. A beautiful address, however, if you are looking for human comfort, comfort and warmth. Find out beforehand about the doctor who will follow you and your mutual support with regard to the high costs.

HOPITAL COCHIN – ASSISTANCE PUBLIQUE

Maternity wards

This level III establishment provides: of an obstetrics unit, a neonatology unit, 20 beds and intensive care unit, 20 neonatal resuscitation beds, 40 beds + 20 high-risk pregnancy beds, 7 nursery rooms, 2 intensive monitoring beds and 2 operating blocks. The Cochin Hospital suffers from a bad reputation: Permanent overload, staff mood swings, low-human post-natal follow-up, poor room, dilapidated rooms, vétustes comfort. On the whole, this motherhood is hardly tempting. Level III, however, is recognized medically for its framework for risk pregnancies with a very competent paediatric and neonatology service. The medical and technical expertise is very good.

Comments:

Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Hospital merged with the Paris-Saint-Joseph and Saint-Michel hospital group in 2006. The sites thus assembled offer a large hospital group in the south of Paris, offering better service quality. There is also a possibility to attend bocage and yoga courses in the course of childbirth preparation. On the other hand, some criticisms will be levelled at the post-natal stay in maternity, particularly in terms of comfort and supervision of the périmédicales teams after birth.
